A little bit of fun with the new guys...lovin' the RP

So, last night, I'm trading away, minding my own business, doing rep missions for the empire to raise my rank, and filling my hold with anything else worth hauling.

I'm in SC on my way to my Outpost, when I notice 2 CMDRS in the system, and manage to catch a scan of one of them as he passes in front of me.

Ok, no worries, I thought, but I'll see if I can scan the other one, which I did.

Hmm, I think, as they start to circle round, fun time!

I let one get behind me, just to see what he was going to do, when sure enough I get interdicted! The cheek of it :)

So, I throttle down, and we all drop out of SC.

I sit at zero thrust for a bit, I get scanned - twice! I am carrying 250 tons of Imp Slaves, and 10 Non Lethal Weps (very tempting!)

So I send a message to the wanted one - Really? Do you want to die? And then KWS him.

No response, they just keep circling me, so I message the other guy - Well?

No response, they just keep circling me...so I message - Ok, bored now, goodbye.

I engage Frameshift, and it spools up. A split second before it engages, 'Mr Wanted' shoots at me - bad mistake.

I cancel Frameshift, pips to weps, deploy hardpoints (3 large burst turrets, and 2 medium multi turrets).

Yes, my trader has teeth...although it normally only has to deal with NPC Pythons or Condas, nothing else interdicts me usually.

I lock up the 'wanted' guy, and open fire fixed forward...his shields start to evaporate and he boosts away, and I hear 'frameshift charge detected' - he's running.

The other guy then opens fire from behind me, why I have no idea, as he was clean - now he's 'wanted' and legitimate prey.

So, I decide he needs a lesson, switch to target only mode, and melt his shields, then target his power plant, and start to tear pieces off his ship.

He twists and turns, and boosts, but can't get away. I intend to take him down to 20% or so, then let him go with some sage advice about interdicting 'dangerous' Pythons, and then shooting them.

Maybe he didn't have full pips to engines, but he was struggling to get away.

I took him to 23%, when he suddenly sped off (presumably having realised about pips) and went to SC immediately.

I grinned to myself, shut up shop, and toddled off to my Outpost.

What fun, I chortled to myself, I do hope I bump into them again :D
