A little favour to ask please

Hello CMDR's,

As some of you will of noticed Ed has posted the topic of tonight's live stream - Power Play.

Due to the short time in advertising this event and it happening I need a little info for the question I have put forward for a possible answer however as I cannot get to the game until after the stream has started.

(Really another 24 hours would do wonders for your stream Ed - Advertising works best with a sprinkling of time added for good measure)

My home system is in Frey. I would like it someone could pop over and get me the name of the controlling faction at Garret station. I'm pretty sure it is not a player faction but I need to make sure.

According to the system map, the controlling faction is "C&S Mining Corp"..

I was hoping I could track him down and ask him to leave via my laser's but he plays on the Xbox... I guess I'll just find another system to call home. I would move to the system named Bran but alas, it has no stations or platforms

Or maybe Quince would be a good new home - might take a while to get some of the smaller ships there but still a nice place with lots of stations to get missions from...

In fairness it was announced at the end of last week's stream that this week's would be about Powerplay.

Power Play and Minor Factions have nothing to do with each other, so I am confused by the whole post.

1. I set my home system as Frey
2. Near by system of Bhotho got taken over by the Feds at the same time Frey was given to a minor faction that I have now been informed is a player on the xbox who's faction was given complete control of the system.
3. Given how Bhotho had Frey in its sphere of influence it is an easy assumption to make, especially given that the average player is given no information about PP, factions, minor factions etc in game.

Given what I have been told today I now know what has happened. Am I happy about it, no. Do I intend to spend the evening blowing up every freaking mining ship I see in Frey? Dam right.

Will I now learn more about undermining just to see them drop a few points, obviously!

If you want to see an ongoing account of an attempt to flip a system, have a look at the Community Activity To Liberate Rare Trade Commodities thread.
There are a few of us attempting this. It's taking quite a while as the controlling faction is being boosted by powerplay grinders just doing their normal trade grind from the station oblivious to what we are trying to do.

Frey only has 15M population. It should be relatively easy for a small group to flip the system and put Frey Free in charge and push C&S Mining to the bottom of the heap. I've seen it done before. If you're interested, send me a PM and we'll talk. Alternatively, if you simply want to make a new home system, you could move to Mallory Landing in Horagalles which is a nice system.
