A little fighter forgiveness...

I absolutely love the fighter bay, but am having a reoccurring issue... and it is becoming obnoxious.

So there I am in a haz res saving some miner, I have my fighter attacking the WANTED TARGET when the miner gets in the way of my fighters weapon fire.

Now I am wanted...

The fight then continues long enough to the point that the pirate(s) happen to destroy the miner, despite my efforts.

Now I am a murderer... and basically a system outlaw.

Does this seem right to anyone? Because it most certainly is not to me. I would like to advocate for fighters to not be able to get you fined (unless you are deliberately sending your fighter to attack an unwanted target!!!)

Besides basic commands, we have no control of npc's getting caught in the cross fire from our fighters. I am soooo tired of seeing bounties on my head over this single issue and am on the verge of ditching the fighter bay because of this.

NPC-piloted fighters should never make you wanted, just like turrets in auto mode while you're targeting a legitimate mark. If that happens and you incur losses, raise a support ticket.

It is just the cross fire from the fighter that is getting me fined and outlawed 99.9% of the time. the only thing I am really losing is time I could spend doing/finishing pirate hunting missions in a system. On top of that, i cant finish my missions because I become a bounty target.

Right now i am an outlaw in three systems, one for upwards of 6 days in some because of this one single issue.

I don't think this is something I should report as a bug, as it is more of a rule that needs a simple changing. I would love to use my fighter bay, but this issue has killed it for me.

I hope I have posted this issue in the right place. If anyone else knows a better avenue for me to take this problem to, please let me know. Thank you!

It's really a bug. NPC actions (so basically anything that wasn't you explicitly pressing a button to damage a target you weren't allowed to hit) are not supposed to trigger penalties against you.

Personally, I do not even pay attention to being sought.

it happens so easily and so hard (many days) .. I do not look anymore .. I'm waiting to see what will happen next update (Beyond)

every time I go out to hunt for bounty .. I'm pretty sure I'll be off again. .. I am almost certain to leave looking ...

yet I know how to avoid being one .. but no, I become almost constantly.

another suggestion > the search notification detector should be able to tell if the person is wanted in the system.. and before the basic scanner when the detector is faster.. it would further reduce the risk of being sought.

(I have the impression that Google has translated a bit anyhow this time haha)

So then should I submit a bug? If so, can I do it via this thread, and how would I do that? Sorry, new here.

(translator forgive grammar errors)

I do not know, I did not see any particular problem with the crew NPC on this subject, my crew attacks those in red on my side only .. even when ordering fire at will.

if you have to submit a bug.. it's pretty simple everything is indicated.. maybe a search in the right see if it is not already reported but I do not always.

I have seen in posts people attach bug reports into the thread. I do not want to create a separate thread from this one.

True, however consider this... Suggestions is a dumping for ideas for upcoming releases that Frontier occasionally goes through when they have the time and effort to get it put into the game.

Bug Reporting is for those issues that are currently happening in the game that shouldn't be happening. They naturally get a higher priority to being looked into and handled/corrected than what's posted in suggestions.

The bug reports that end up here are usually not bugs, but moved from there because the moderators deemed it wasn't an issue being reported, but a suggestion that should be discussed.
