As a Canadian, I'd feel slighted if a beaver wasn't included in a NA pack, they are our national animal! (Only joking about the "slighted" part, I'd be happy with a beaver either way!)
That is a fair point and we've actually done a lot of conservation for otters too so it doesn't really matter. I've just become a bit obsessed with beaver reintroduction in England this year!
(Also I never released just how insane Britain's national animals are. England has the lion which has never existed on the island and then Wales and Scotland have the dragon and unicorn respectively - which don't exist anywhere).
