A little pre-launch help from your friend Grey

Hey everyone,

I posted a new tutorial video I thought new PS4 players might find helpful.

In it I discuss starting ship options and recommended upgrades to buy first, as well as how to know where you can actually jump to :)

Please let me know if you found it helps - thanks!

Never considered getting the SRV option then selling it. I presumed everything that would be totally equal! I think I may have to change my launch date plans now.

Thanks Grey, watched it today and like subscribed straight away. Looking forward to watching more.

I've just realized you're THE Greylock3491 from youtube's The Gamer Show channel. (I'm feeling really stupid right now, haha) [haha]
I watch your videos all the time, mate. Thank you for all your help. I've lost count of how many times i watched the "How to play Elite Dangerous (2017)", which i personally think it's by far the most informative guide for a begginer on Youtube.

Again, another really helpful video. As an Elite newcomer, i really appreciate your work, man. Keep it up! [smile]

Thank you all very much for your replies! +Rep to you!

I do hope to keep the series going and plan to film some new episodes this weekend ;-)

Sorry for the confusion - I recommend getting the SRV option and if you don't need it then storing it (because you can't profit from loaned modules.) This would save you over $20K in the future since you won't have to buy an SRV Hanger and SRV.

But, if you store your SRV you may want to replace it with a $3,250 "#2" cargo rack.

That said, in Two Guys in Space we made plenty of money in the first two hours, enough to buy a Hauler and we never needed to store our SRV, so doing so is totally optional!

Thanks again everyone!

Grey. An indepth look at bounty hunting for new pilots could be useful. I know you have some vids on this already but those kind of assume previous knowledge. So a real back to basics thing may be helpful.
Also Star scooping. It's not as easy as it looks.
