No, what happened was that I saw I was coming in to fast, and I am used to having lift, so I pulled up then smacked against the observation tower.

That looks exactly like something the docking computer would do to you, which is why I laughed. It happened to me on a few occasions.

Wasn't quite the same orientation, but same effect. hehe

This one was from Beta. It didn't get any smarter after release, at least right away. Sarah has tweaked it a bit since then though.
