Newcomer / Intro A Lot of Questions !!!

Hello commanders,

First of all I want to thank all the commanders that gave me info on how to setup my T.Flight HOTA.

I am playing for 3 weeks now (mostly solo) and managed to get a Viper (Bounty Hunting), a Cobra (Multi-role) and a T-6 (Trading) all fully equipped and a wallet of around 10 mil credits. All my ships are stationed at the same system.

I need some info in order to enjoy more the game and see more of its content, so here my questions:

1) If I want to change system do I have to go back and forward between the actual and the new system in order to take all my ships to the new system or there is another way ?

2) Is it worth the time to visit SOL system ? (in terms of new ships, content, more ppl when not playing solo, etc)

3) Trading is profitable but doing the same trade-route is quit boring. Bounty hunt is much better :). Any suggestion on systems I could find wanted NPCs with bounties > 100K credits ?

4) What is the benefit to use my Kill Warrant Module before I take down a wanted NPC?

5) I like to start playing in Open Play mode. Are there any Clans-Guilds-Groups that have a "Home" system and organize events like team bounty hunting etc ? If yes where can I get info for those groups ?

Thank you in advance for your responses,

Red Arrow

1) No other way. You have to move them. Buy a cheap sidewinder to move back, sell it, move your other ship. Or sell the two you aren't flying and rebuy when you get there (don't forget to sell/downgrade your modules first).
2) I would say no. Maybe do it to tick it off a list of things to do but that was it for me.
3) I don't know. Sorry.
4) it tells you all of the other places you can collect bounties apart from the system you are in. This builds up nicely. I've made quite a lot from the Empire and Feds even though I was hunting in an independent system.
5) Try the groups or role playing sections of the forum?

Ok, trying to give some sensefull answers.

1) yes. You will have to do this. Get 1 ship to your destination. Buy a cheap ship. Fly back. Sell the cheap ship. Get 2nd ship to destination. I do not know FDs plans to change this.
2) Sol has nothing more to offer than others (Maybe except the most exiting outlook from Abraham Lincoln station).
3) Trade while doing your journey. Its not the same profit as it is in an A->B route, but is more fun.
4) As I am not having one I can't tell you but I think it helps to find a specific commander whos wanted.
5) Elite Dangerous is not designed to support bigger groups. Now we can have wings of 4 but massive player grouping is not wanted and not physically supported for today and the foreseeable future. The clans are living in the off dealing with the limitations of the game (4 in a wing and max 32 per instance) and suffering sometimes from mode change capabilities.
Blockades or raids will never work.

Miklos

1.) Yes, that is exactly what you need to do. People use disposable Sidewinders with upgraded FSDs as taxis right now. The current method is: Fly your primary ship to your new system and park it at a station with a shipyard that has some cheap ships (Sidewinder, Eagle, Hauler...). Purchase one of those ships (whichever suits you best) and upgrade the FSD, strip it of weapons and unnecessary modules and fly it to where your other ships are stored. Upon arrival there, go to outfitting, strip your taxi ride of all internals or downgrade those that you can, then switch ships and sell your taxi. Ride your second ship to your new home system and rinse repeat.

2.) The Sol system is one of the few hubs of player activity in the game. Apart from sentimental value, there are some sights to behold. Earth, Mars and Jupiter look all very pretty, and space stations of all types orbit the planets of Sol. In terms of trade, it is a mostly consuming and not producing economy. In terms of bounty hunting: It is a high security system (you need to earn a permit by running missions for Federal factions before you can even enter it), and piracy is very low. You'll still find some pirate vessels in the rings of Jupiter - just beware if hunting them: The rings are heavily policed!

3.) In my experience, you find the most wanted targets with the highest bounties in Anarchy systems. I mean complete anarchy, not just the occasional anarchic station in an otherwise governed system. In order to even see whether there are bounties on their heads, though, you will need the infamous Kill warrant scanner. A normal scan in an anarchy system will always show the ship as "clean". Only if you scan it with your KWS, you will see whether it has a bounty.

4.) The kill warrant scanner allows you to see whether the vessel you are scanning is wanted in ANY other system than the one you are currently in. Upon successful scan, you will be able to see if the pirate has any additional bounties on his head (they usually do). It may be that you are scanning a wanted criminal in a resource extraction site of Jupiter, and the initial bounty says 6347 cr. After applying the KWS, you can see that the guy is also wanted dead in the Empire for 11654 cr and in the Alliance for 3875 cr. So your payout upon destruction of his ship has just tripled.
