A Medium Imperial Ship

It's been suggested before, but this was dramatised for me the other day. I'd decided to get allied at a few Imperial systems. I wanted to RP a bit and do it in posh ships. The Cutter was a good choice, but there were quite a few delivery missions to outposts, so I though about building another ship. But when I looked at the hulls for possible builds, there was only one choice. I already have a Python!

I think a medium-pad Imperial ship could be made with enough flexibility in internal slots to make it capable of trade, exploration or mining, to fulfill previous frequent suggestions. It could have the appearance of a stretched Courier.

Funny thing is, I think the Courier is the worst looking (ugliest) Imperial ship, the pontoons are just... wrong, better at the back in a more conventional fashion

An imperial medium ship would be nice. Gutamaya should take Krait mk2, remodel it into fabulous imperial style, give it better maneuverability (turn rates), in exchange may remove 1 large hardpoint and SLF capability. That could be the perfect ship (at least for me).

a medium ship styled on the clipper with three large hardpoints, like an oversized courier?

Seriously though I'd love to see something like the Osprey X remade for ED. Bump it up to a medium but keep the aesthetics (hey, they did it with the Krait).

Much better. Unfortunately the phantom has no better maneuverability than the mk2, and lot worse on the internals. In short, a disappointment.
