I have combined all my notes about possible improvements of the game in one megalist.
I tried to sort them but the list still can be random.
Missions:
1. Mission's description needs more details about the factions of the questgiver and the target - a political system, for example. Sometimes I don't know if the target faction is Anarchic.
2. Let us choose the goods or material reward even if we do not have enough space - just fill the cargo bay or material bin and abandon the rest.
3. Please let us see the result of the "Reputation" reward before we select this reward.
SRVs:
1. Please let us install the specific turret on the specific SRV - an exploration Scorpio with the Scarab turret (with scanner) or a combat Scarab with the Scorpio turret would be the good options. Or no turret at all.
1. (Alternative) Or please add the SRV variants with the different pre-installed functionality/turrets, like we have different SLFs with different loadout.
2. Scorpio's turret is awful - please make its accuracy close to the Scarab's turret. The idea of getting the accuracy according to the "spin" time is strange. This gun had to be rejected on the design stage, if I was the Vodel's designer.
3. We can keep SRVs in the stored hangar modules - please show the list of the SRVs inside of these stored hangar modules in their description.
SRV shields:
1. Please make them work like the ship's and the suit's shield - to protect from the impact on the ground or from the crashes on laying (and levitating) rocks.
SLFs:
1. We can keep SLFs in the stored hangar modules - please show the list of the SLFs inside of these stored hangar modules in their description.
2. Please make Guardian-hybrid SLFs immune to the caustic damage.
Ship's blue circle "embarking" menu:
1. Please add a button to call/return the SRV while on-foot.
Ship's landing:
1. Please make the landing system more tolerant to the ground - let us land on the difficult surfaces and just block the option of SRV if there's no place for it (ofc, there should be a notification on the landing UI).
2. Please make the landing gear to ignore the damage on landing - shieldless ships are quite hard to land without a damage. Landing gear should eat the damage if the hull didn't touch anything.
Landing gear:
1. Please add the Inverse Kinematics to the landing gears - please make them react to the surface. It's better to remove the Forward bob landing animation which has no animated landing gear (landing gear just clips through the surface). Another reason: the Forward bob animation is played despite the way we land the ship - by approaching forward, but flying back or just moving vertically.
2. Please add the mechanisms in the landing gear bays. Currently, most of the landing gear just stick out from the ship's metal plate. I wonder how they move if they look fixed in the metal.
Dropping from/Embarking to the ship:
1. Please let us drop solo/in SRV from the ship above surface and send the ship to the orbit automatically.
2. If the surface do not allow the ship to land, please let the ship to hover above surface and draw a blue (on foot) and orange (in SRV) circles to embark.
Gravitiy based visual effects:
Despite the gravity on the planet, some effects are played with no difference in speed and inertia - dust, debris after bullet impact, geysers etc.
1. Please make the visual effects to be affected by the gravity of the planet.
Weapons on-foot:
1. Please add more guns - there a lot of gaps to fill - grenade launchers; kinetic/laser/plasma shotguns/snipers/SMGs/machineguns; railguns.
2. More grenades - plasma, laser,
2.1 More modes - sticky, impact.
3. Gun producers are too monopolistic - it's strange that only one company in the Galaxy makes the kinetic, laser or plasma weapon. We need more variety within the weapon class.
3.1 Also it would be good to see manufacturers to produce guns of other types: laser guns in Manticore design or plasma guns in Takada design.
4. Firing modes - semi/burst/auto - built-in or via the modification. Please make the laser pistol "selfloading" by default.
5. SMGs need more adequate recoil/jitter pattern, kinetic/laser rifles has no issues with jitter, their firing animation is smooth.
6. Please add the universal rail and make the scopes unified and attachable/detachable: today we have a lot of scopes which can be easily installed on each gun just putting it on the universal rail. It would be nice to install the long scope on any pistol (if there enough space on the rail) or a short scope on the sniper rifle.
6.1 Please make the Pioneer supplies to sell the scopes.
Scope reticles:
1. Ingame scope reticles have a too outdated look, like from old games. In reality they are not the drawn picture on the lense.
Please check how the reddot, holographic or optical sights work in real life or in the modern shooter games like CoD or BF.
Please make sight reticles more visible. Scopes require the crosshair with the red glowing center. White reticles blend with the environment and light sources, and make the aiming hard often.
Basic holo sights should work as iron sights - to have fore and rear parts to align them for successful aiming.
The origin of red dot sights - aircraft sights
Animations on-foot:
1. The jump-landing headbob animation may be played several times just by walking on some inclined or difficult artificial surfaces after landing on them or after microfalling caused by the inclination.
2. Profile scanner and bio-sampler have a nice sprinting animation which definitely fit the pistol sprinting animation. Pistol sprint animation is more fitting these tools.
Please swap these animations: pistols <-> tools.
3. Please add more impact for the weapon animations. Camera jitter, hand shaking, inaccurate magazine loading etc.
4. Please remove the exaggerated recoil animation for the laser pistol: 2nd and 3rd shots just miss the target.
5. Please make better transitions between spring and jump - there a lot of issues like jitters due to the IK animations (most weapons and tools) or unnatural elbow turn due to the bad position in the sprint animation (arc cutter)
6. There're only inertia animations for turning left and right, but nothing for pitch up and down - this causes awful jutters when you turn the tool or gun up or down. It looks more awful in aiming down sight.
Please add inertia for up/down movements.
Crime and punishment:
1. Please make us attack the NPCs without getting the bounty if there're no witnesses or being undetected by the enemy suit - one shot kill or energy link stun.
2. Please make the "Pirate"/"Scavenger" dropships outlawed.
3. Please make the assasination targets outlawed if they left the settlement and crashed on the random planet.
Profile scanner:
1. Please improve the functionality of the profile scanner. We can see that NPCs can use it to scan the boxes or the machinery.
Please make it work like the short range ship scanners:
If we have the scanner in our hands - we can aim at Horizon interactible stuff like canisters and materials and get a name of the thing in the tool's focus.
Please add the Composition scanner features so we could scan objects like we're in the ship.
Please add the Data link sanner features so we could interact with the tech and download the Horizon encrypted data into our suit's backpack.
FSS:
1. Please add a small thin red crosshair to let us aim at the signals correctly.
Info Panel:
1. Please stop, relocate or minimize the fullsize pop-up messages to stop the blocking of the Info Panel.
Suit loadout:
1. Please make the grenade/battery/medkit pouches universal: let us set the loadout of the specific confirguration - for example, I'll prefer more batteries and medkit for my Artemis instead of grenades which are useless in exploration.
2. Please add the one inventory slot for the Horizon materials, so we could collect them on the ground without SRV and unload them into the ship via the button in the blue circle menu.
Suit HUD:
1. Please add the ship status like we have a companion's status.
2. Please add a small clock under the TEMP/GRAV values and the altimeter under the LON/LAT values on the compass ribbon.
3. Please make the stat ribbon (planet name, temp, grav, crime stat) appearing in different place than compass. Please stop the compass blocking, there a lot of info which I need right after the disembarking.
5. Wheel control is awful, it's almost impossible to select a medkit or the o7 emote with the mouse control.
Please use the direction widget from the ship UI for the wheel UI so we could hover the mouse cursor and select the desired item.
Stamina:
1. Please add the stamina bar. Simple. We have health measurement so the stamina measurement should be even less problematic.
Illegal data:
1. Please put an "Illegal" mark right on the data plate, instead of putting it above the list and shifting this list. Kinda annoying when you click on a data, and have to click twice to skip the selected data just because of the "Illegal" plate which shifted the list.
Localization:
1. Please let us choose the text and VO language for Horizon and Odyssey.
For example, I'm a user of the Russian localization - I have a localized text for Horizon and Odyssey. However, I have English-spoken Horizon and Russian-spoken Odyssey. I'd like to have an options to choose the English Voiceover for Horizon and Odyssey.
2. Please add the localisation tool / website, so CMDRs could update the translation or add a new one.
3. Please move the localization options into the game menu. The location of this setting in the Launcher is quite inconvenient.
System map:
1. Please make the full system simulation in the System map so we can have the correct light position on planets, for example.
Exobiology UI:

1. Please return the QTE minigame from Odyssey Beta with the special effect - successful completion will automatically finish the species scan.
Exobiology scattering:
1. Please make bio species more tolerant to the surface type and other neighbour species in the biome. Sometimes one species suppress another and some species do not show on the ground despite the filter results of DSS-ing.
Crashed ship POIs:
1. Please add more models of crashed ships. I want to scavenge some Mamba or Type-10.
Galactic light sources:
1. Please make all stars emit light on the planets.

1. Please give them some meaning. Random pointless graphs or pointless numbers are sad.

1. Please make standalone versions of Ship-launched fighters and fit the 1 Class FSD and add few 1 Class optionals. For fun.
Navigation tab filters:
1. Please add Favorites and own FC as a separate filter option. For example, I need only my FC to be displayed instead of all 100 in the system.
NPC ships appearance:
1. Please give random paintjobs and ship kits to the NPC ships.
Hyperspace tunnel visual effect:
1. Please make it more materialistic as it was in Horizon. It had such a nice look.

1. Overcharge can cancel the FSD jump. Please allow FSD to cancel Overcharge if the jump is started.
Advertisements on own Fleet Carrier:
1. Please let us edit the list of the allowed ads on owned FC.
It's really strange that Federation is adverised on the FC of the Imperial/Alliance/Independent CMDR.
Also, let us set the Power's ad on the hologram.
Field revive mechanics:
1. Please let us revive our partner which is "dead".
Let us use a medkit within the specific time frame (30-60 seconds) to revive our friend.
Better LODs:

We can ride into the port in SRV but there're issues on foot.
1. Please add the entrance for entering the port on foot (I didn't found one after the shenanigans)
2. Please also add the exit to the surface (To continue the shenanigans or to embark the friends ship landed outside)
2.1 Same for SRV if the ship is on the surface level of the landing pad
Blast shields for canopy / Engineering for canopy:
1. Please add a module of the blast shield which can be activated via the right panel/hotkey
2. Please add the engineering schematic to make the canopy glass thicker or metal reinforced
Disabled settlements with marauders:
1. Please open some doors and let some scavengers inside.
Currently we just can fire all scavs with missiles and enter the cleaned settlement.
We need some reason to leave the ship - to finish the remaining scavs.
Horizon level of the landing pad on the UI for landing on the stations in space:
We have the horizon level for landing on planets but it's missing for station landing pads.
1. Please enable the horizon level for landing on the stations in space.
To avoid hull damage and for precise landing.
Onfoot engineering:
1. Please let us remove or replace mods in guns and suits.
Fleet carrier jump management:
1. Please let us plot a route for our Fleet carriers.
2. Please let the crew use the tritium from cargo to refuel FC.
Exit options in multicrew.
If CMDR (not pilot) exits from the game or the game stops working due to the Orange Sidewinder and other errors:
1. Please let us choose to spawn on the last visited safe station or on the closest landable planet at the moment before exit/error/crash.
