They can not stomach a system that promotes independent wealth without the structure and constricting laws of their empire. With the blood and sweat of the Crew and it's supporters we keep trade routes open that enrich all who wish to partake in them. Without us they fall, yet another piece of freedom crushed beneath the tyrannical hand of the Emperor.

Show me good two way black market trade routes for large ships dealing in Arms, Narcotics etc. but not any kind of slavery and you've got my attention.

You mean when the Empire find itself bored and needed to launch some sort of crusade on an alternative culture? Sounds about right. I hope you didn't only follow the Galnet articles since some of them can be very inaccurate and misleading.

That being said my motto is and has always been - If the cash is there I do not care.
Its painted on the side of my ship in really small letters under the rail guns.

Are you sure the Empire really hates you - Looking at your words it is you that is full of hate. I think you are selling us to you kids as the Boogie Man be good and go to sleep now or the Empire will come and take all your toys.

The Empire hates anyone who doesn't accept themselves as #2.

You are allowed to be different only if you accept being inferior through your choice.

Just look at Torval's supporters and their tantrums as soon as they started getting undermined. As if it an unthinkable act for anyone to take arms against Torval.

Quite hilariously, the "Imperial Unity" only applies to offense, since everyone else is letting Torval to die off.

"Don't worry granny, we will just milk your trading routes while you're facing doom."

Except that the Empire leaders involved already admitted this was false flag propaganda.
Just like in the real world, any old nonsense can become established fact if it's nicely sold to people who want to believe it already.

You are right, I probably should take it to the suggestions forum. It would just make sense to have one, just like there is one for Exploration and shipyard etc..

Old leaders die and new hopefully stronger ones step in and take their place.
Its just the natural order of things.

No offense taken. In fact, I never had any doubts it's anything different than the other leaders waiting to grab her space and supporters like vultures. While also benefiting from her slaves as much as they currently can.

Just waiting for the emperor's death so that they fight each other for the crown.
