Governor, perhaps you should get out of your cave and read the news. Were you aware that we at the Federation are the most undermined powers? Perhaps you should take your weapons and do what any Fed do in case of danger: fight for your own freedom. You're entitled to nothing. You want to join the empire you say? Go ahead! I hear wearing chains make you less of a whiner.

Until your mind returns to reality, I suggest you lock down all your systems. Too many enemies? Too dangerous? Move out then, there's really nothing else that can be done. The Empire is a monster that cannot be tackled by sending reinforcements to distant systems. Join us in our lands of constant perils and undermining, then you'll understand why we can't cater your selfish wishes.
