A Metric To Compare Different Role Incomes: Total Loss Replacement Over Time

It's a nice idea, but I think that there are too many player variables to make for an accurate measure. I, for example, am currently tolling around in an armed-trader Python build. Current replacement cost, around 78M. My trading income (if I could stand to grind non-stop, which I can't) runs at around 2.5M/hour with 184t of cargo space (because I like to mix it up with some missions and bounty hunting). So _my_ TLROT is currently running at 33...

EDIT: Squeekydoor, you posted while I was writing. I read it after my post, and now have a headache. Go stand in the corner! :(

Your rebuy is 100%? ;) you need to sack off your insurance company!

That's an excellent point. My brain wasn't quite synced with this. Ok, so insurance + cargo is around 5.7m, making my new, adjusted figure 2.3 hours, give or take. That looks better :)

Take the best players it shouldn't be an every person thing it should be solely theoretical maximums that's why my numbers are the way they are

In all of these discussions on the relative earnings of different 'roles' I have never heard a good reason why there should be any equity at all. Why do we need a metric for an aspect that needs none. Each player h as equal access to any role they choose to play, at any time. That is where income equity comes from. If a player chooses to exclude content from their play time, that's their call, but they lose the chance at those profits as well.

Sorry for offtopic...

To OP:
are you really flying under that name that equals a big "kick me" sign on your back? ;)

respect...

I think I average roughly 100k per hour exploring. My Asp's replacement cost is roughly 800k, so 8 hours. However if I used an anaconda then it would be more like 80 hours, and if i used a hauler it would be 30 mins.

Pointless metric I think.
