A mistake so silly you just can't help but laugh

Okay, so I'm running some data to unlock the Sirius Corp. Permit (and the Engineer but that's beside the point), and I'm cruising along in SC, no big deal, no one is near me for lightminutes and as I attempt to pass a Gas Giant at high speed, I fail. HARD. My ship drops out of SC for emergency breaking. This is after I decide to get clever for using an Eagle (with a Rail gun and Twin DumbFire Missile Launchers instead of Mines [which resulted in a rather quick death]) to clear out skimmers. I'd upload video but I wasn't recording.

Anyone got some stories. I'm sure there are some good ones.

Um, died for the first time in awhile very recently to an Elite NPC Viper whilst ing about in my bootlegging Adder. Was doing okay even after losing shields but then made the schoolboy error of forgetting that I'm not in a medium/lorge ship anymore.

Basically ramming a 70-80 ton ship in a 40ish ton ship with a single 1D HRP...I'll leave it up to you to figure what happened ;-)

Got a second account to help with a rares CG, flew a conda full of Palladium in a private group to transfer some funds so it could instantly get a better ship. Decided to test dropping and collecting to make sure I had the range right by only dropping 3 units of Palladium. Got left and right keys mixed up!

Was left with just 23 units out of well over 400!

My stupidest death by far was accidentally deploying weapons in a Python while inside a station shortly after leaving the pad (hit the wrong button), followed by accidentally firing deployed weapons while trying to put them away :O

What can I say -- I was wearing a VR headset and my fingers just found the wrong buttons [big grin]

Ouch... Glad I turned that option off. I have a habit of pressing the trigger when I'm bored. My Fer-De-Lance would not be pleased if I did that.
