Powerplay Faction: Aisling Duval A moral dilemma

Hello fellow Aisling supporters and Commanders.
I have a moral dilemma and it is this.
I have my base of operations located in a system governed by Aislings Angels.
As we know the Aislings Angels are the mouth piece for our Princess.
And yet they remain independent of the Empire.
I have been bounty hunting for the Angels in that system clearing out slaver scum, but I've also taken a number of missions for the Angels as well.
Here is the nub of my problem, I'm a loyal supporter of the Empire but also want to keep the Angels for being undermined within my base system, but whenever I complete missions for The Angels, they being Independent causes me to lose favour and reputation with the Empire.

Do I walk this tightrope or go all in with the Independents or remain loyal with the Empire, to my mind Aislings Angels are Empire.

Very confused AD supporter.

The problem stems from none of Aisling's favored government types being allowed to be Imperial for lore reasons. All of the Aisling player created factions had to choose to pick either an Imperial type government or one that would lower Aisling's triggers. You know which one the Angels chose. I'd not worry with the Imperial rep personally, and push the Angels as you see fit.

Helping an Independent faction won't hurt your Empire rep, unless the missions you take involve killing ships that belong to an Empire faction.

Cheers!
I wasn't aware AA being a player group, been out in black for a while and haven't been in PP since week 5.
That makes a lot more sense now.
And definitely not taking out Empire faction ships so all good there.

My take on this is that if it's a player group that's dedicated to helping out AD by pushing the official weekly goals posted on Reddit then it's a player minor faction worth supporting. I do missions for Pileus Libertas whenever I'm in the vicinity of Munshin, no regrets or hesitation there.

Yeah you should be able to balance your rep gaining, there are always other systems to do a little bgsing in, I got myself to Knight without even really noticing. I guess that the odd Empire promotion mission does not hurt but you know plenty of Ailsing Angels have themselves decent rank within the Empire so you should not feel you have to be left behind.

Also Tifu, I tip my hat to you, you beautiful cmdr you o7

Yep, been working for AA in a neighbouring system, more mission offers there as well. Already at Knight rank so no problem there. Should be allied with AA soon.

The choice of government type for our minor faction was not an easy one. We see us as Empire aligned, but we support Aisling Duval above that. In the end we did not want to be a patronage as this may hurt any Aisling control systems if we were to eventually spread our minor faction. Instead we chose one that would be helpful to the fortification triggers. In addition, being a co-operative would also uphold the standards of Aisling’s moral virtues. Therefore, if we were to gain control of a system outside of the control radius of Zhao, or even if Zhao were lost, the slave and narcotics market would stay closed under our watch.
