A must have for ED :)

Haha I bet it soon loses its novelty value and probably cheaper to go for a day down your local track! I would like to have a go though :p

On the website:

Cost of the basic model 4DOF Extreme with 3D TV screen is equal to middle class car.

It is probably a lot of fun, but if you want to win you should switch the effects off - same as with force feedback in joysticks.

That's what I was thinking more or less flat road and he's almost doing somersaults.. :D

My assumption: The setup simulates the forces in a race car by mainly using gravity - which is a rather weak force, so there has to be a lot of movement to have a realistic effect.

Quite a piece of engineering work there, most impressive.

Completely unsuited movement for the application though. Ive spent a lot of time competing in motorsport (rallying was my thing) and that didnt look in anyway like a good simulator for the feel of doing so.

That said It "may" be ok for a flying game...

I would rather think though that our ships at least the larger ones would be relatively more stable in the cockpit.

I certainly wouldnt mind giving it a go though...
