After returning to elite after all this time, me and my friends get constantly reminded what have could been. Everyone on discord is talking about things that could have been, but the player numbers speaks for itself. If Frontier Devs want to make something really good of this foundation of a masterpiece, they need to take action now. We really need quality of life to this slog. I will keep my hopes up that, maybe some day, they will wake up and make the game more fun. I am not giving up, a lot of people are waiting Dev, let go of the alien invasion stuff, give us a reason to play and stay.

Calling 5 000 players a huge number nowadays is quite a exaggeration.. Especially as this is not the number of simultaneous players but, those who signed up to the CG within a week

Sick of the doom threads. Players that does not appreciate the game should just leave, and leave the forums. And delete their cmdr on Inara. And their one person squadrons.
A lot of players didn't sign for the CG and grinded it just for the money... if I am not wrong, one day in the weekend Laedla 24h traffic said 28k ships.
Ships... not commanders
On Saturday i participated on 2 accounts, doing 11 Cutter trips for each commander - so i added 22 Ships to that number
(yea, i know... but i dont really need money, i just wanted to add a couple more billions to each of my 2 accounts involved)
+ All of us that didn't sign up, (I was two of them, though neither of me would show up in the traffic report...)
And clean up their carrier litter...
The problem is that those players still appreciate and play the game, they just want it better . I find those people who quote "Doom" a lot aren't those who are unhappy with the game but are unhappy with people picking holes in this "perfect" game . ( my own opinion of course )
As a forum we should not be trying to silence those who are of the opposite opinion . Not happy with a post ?? Scroll on by or put your opinion and see who agrees ?

We have continual 'debate' on what the game 'could / should have been', suggestions aplenty and players/ex-players/never-players quoting steam charts 'proving' the game is dying...
Isn't it best for folk to bury their personal 'dreams.txt' and just accept that this game is what it is, not what it might have been in their dreams?
Nowt wrong with suggestions etc. They are always fun to read.
But that's the thing the debate is always someone's opinion ? Isn't it best that folk still play and enjoy the game and hope it gets ( in their own mind ) better ?
We all have our pipe dreams EVA in Elite ? Becoming friends with the Thargoids after we admit we were the bad guys ? Fighting against the guardians who are really the protagonists ? Admittedly some suggestions even get a facepalm from myself . As long as commanders understand that when they post it should always start
