Dinosaurs A new dna replacement slot: Social Behavior

So, people have been asking that the t-rex has it's socail stat increased to two. However, I have a better idea. Instead of increasing the stat of one dinosaur, why not add a new dna slot that increases social behavior? It works like this: When selected, the dna module will increase the social stat. This fluctuates depending on dino type: Small H(10) Medium H(5) Large H(2) Sauropod(1) Small C(6) Medium C(2) Large C(1) Indominous (two slots=1) Indoraptor (5 slots=1). As the social behavior is increased, the dinos will interact more often.

The symbol for this module? Most likely an ape.
 
Great Idea, I know I mentioned it once about making a social trait, that way everyone can decide which dinosaurs get improved, however what category would you place it in? Attack? Defence? Ageing? or other?
 
I sort of agree with this one, however I wouldn't like to engineer the behavior but rather to give some genetic "inclination".

Behavior needs some work and a lot of love, it can really turn this game into a masterpiece. But I think it should be an environmental factor on how the newly introduced dinos will live in the new environment:


  • Every Dinosaur start fresh as "Neutral"
  • Her behavior will be slowly influenced by environmental factors like: Population, social, welfare, comfort
  • Strong behavioral modifications from traumatic events like: fights won/ lost, hard starvation / dehydratation, prolonged periods of zero comfort, electrical shocks from fences, escapes, sedations, etc.

From your proposal you could try to engineer dna to promote o reduce some attitudes in the new dino, this could be done in multiple ways:


  • New dna slot with Increased / decresed chance of any interaction (like the OP)
  • Baseline attitude for each species with a small randomized modifier for each dino
  • Amplify the effect of the current DNA modification to influence behavior (Like aggressive instincts, it should really influence the behavior hard, etc.)

This way every single dino will develop some unique personality with time; it could become a friendly raptor that does not kill others unless totally starving, or a rampaging diplodocus getting agitated no matter what you do.

It's going to be a cool concept, however the fences need a serious reworking because it's going to be a mess since a small dino can take a strong fence down with 3 hits.[yesnod]
