Mods, devs, FD officials, whomever has the ability and the will. Please can we have a new sub forum or area (like private backers forum) which is a moan free zone. I would like to post threads on my game experience and help out with testing but it seems that everything is just getting buried with moaners and trolls.
So how could we stop any new sub forum turning into the same thing? Well one idea is that you must be invited to the sub forum by an existing member of the sub forum. Upon getting invited the mods or suitably elected individual will do a quick search of your post history to ascertain if you engage in constructive comment and discussion or just moan about lack of content and demand refunds. I don't really like this kind of elitist (pun intended) requirement but feel that there is very little in the way of other options.
I really want to help out, but having to scroll through 40 pages of one line posts about how something is evil or 'you've already got my money' is obviously counter productive.
Personally I am not a 'fan boy'. Some of the decisions made by FD are not selfless, which I expected nothing less, but I want to give the feedback that I signed up to give by becoming a backer. Saying 'FD lied' or 'I'm going back to star citizen' is simply not going to make the blindest bit of difference. But discussing events and organising coordinated tests of gameplay and features is what I want to do.
So why am I posting a public thread for this rather than a pm to someone. First of all I don't know who I should be sending the pm too (I'm sure Mr Brook's is busy and Mr Braben too) but also I would like the others out there with a similar opinion to see that they are not alone (tough time finding them in amongst all the moaning).
I will not be returning to this thread once I have posted it as there is every chance that this will be swamped with complaints and even more moaning. But I remain hopeful that this does not fall of deaf ears.
