I wanted to think of something a bit different, a little more of a creative approach.
I thought of a ship type that would be ideal for trading/ conflict zones, a Large ship like the Anaconda, Corvette and cutter but with a twist. Instead of being the biggest, meanest hard hitting ship out there, sometimes it's the support that counts more.
Imagine a large ship with no class 4 weapon mount. only 2 class 3, (top and bottom), 6 class 2 and 6 class 1 weapons around the ship. you now have a ship with moderate firepower with no blind-spots and the ability to hit multiple targets IF all slots are filled with turrets. this would effctivly mean you could fly into the heart of a conflict zone and chip away at all surrounding vessels for your teammates to finish off.
the ship also has the ability to be the only ship able to deploy 2 NPC crew fighters at a time...further enhancing it's support role. 3 with multi-crew
However, although the ship can target vessels with ease, larger vessels are its Achilles heel.. it simply wouldn't have the firepower to negate them quick enough.
perhaps a high armour/ shield rating might be a good way to balance things up a little. and of course good trading ability with a large cargo capacity enough to rival the T-9 and the Cutter.
as stated above, this ship would be ideal for MC purposes. additional fighter and a lot of turrets would provide some very immersive experiences for crew.
