A note about asteroid bases and the contacts filter

Something I only noticed yesterday, and might be useful to others: asteroid bases might not show up on your contacts tab if you have asteroid clusters filtered out. The reason is that many bases are tied to the clusters, so they won't show up on their own.
So if you're looking for these, you might want to reset that filter.

Granted, all the 32 deep space asteroid bases mentioned in the patch log have been found, although I wouldn't put it past FD to have added some more. These ones do show up on the galaxy map as inhabited systems, hence why they were all found pretty quick during the beta.

Any clue where to find the locations of those? I visited few in beta but only few.

Either the galaxy map, filtering for inhabited systems, or outside the game, deep space outposts on the Galactic Mapping Project.

I must say, I am disappointed with the locations. According to the patch notes:

• Added 32 asteroid bases in various deep space locations

I am not in any beta but... I would have expected "deep space" to mean far outside the bubble, that the closest asteroid base would be 5000 ly away from the bubble. According to the map though, a lot of bases are actually very close or even inside the bubble. Bad thing.
