A Palaeontology Student's Suggested Feathered Species

My suggestions for feathered additions. I'm obviously not implying anywhere close to this number would get in but getting to talk about this is a fun exercise so please humour me. And to anyone who isn't aware of any of these animals I encourage you to look them up. Quite a few of these are very unique animals.

And obviously many of these are Theropods, which is par for the course right now outside of more speculative territory.

Dinosauria

Halszkaraptor
, Nothing quite like it.

Balaur,

Psittacosaurus, or Protoceratops

Deinocheirus
,

Nanuqsaurus,

Sinosauropteryx (Please) (Definitely a favored choice since we know it's colouration)

Ornithomimus itself could be the first feathered ornithomimid in game.

Pelecanimimus,

A feathered Troodontid is due, I think Pectinodon is a sound choice, it's a tooth taxon but it has the hell creek pedigree this series lives on.

Yutyrannus makes obvious sense.

Mononykus

Gigantoraptor

Protarcheopteryx
or Caudipteryx, latter is a more obvious choice than the former, I just appreciate the name of the former, even if it isn't quite as it implies.

Leaellynasaura, More Australian dinosaurus would be nice.

Imperobator, another antarctic dinosaur.

Suzhousaurus, possibly the strangest therizinosauroid.

Alvarezsaurus,

Pegomastax,

Oryctodromeus a dinosaur that burrowed, check it out its a fascinating animal. I think it would be the favourite of a lot more people were it more popular.

Austroraptor,

Kulindadromeus,

Huanansaurus,

Anzu, (Oviraptorosaurs have catching up to do.)

Eotyrannus,

Dromaeosaurus, (We need a small dromaeosaurid in the game and I think the clade's namesake is a perfect choice.

Pterosauria

Kunpengopterus
(The recently discovered species, Kunpengopterus antipollicatus, was found to have opposable thumbs.)

Rhamphorhynchus

Pterodactylus

Darwinopterus

Anurognathus

Aerotitan

Alanqa

Leptostomia

Pterodaustro

Nyctosaurus

Preondactylus

Oh and one more thing. It's not exactly feather related but I feel like the game is missing a typical abelisaur. Majungasaurus and Carnotaurus have their interesting quirks but I think the game needs a representative of the typical abelisaurid phenotype. Rugops, Kryptops, Abelisaurus, Chenanisaurus, even Thanos. Pick any just please give us one of them frontier.

Support. And some are definitely gonna happen, since Frontier stated they build a new engine to animate feathers. Obviously it's not gonna be only those three/four we got now.

Another animal I'd like to see is Tianyulong, another ornithischian with known fuzz. Also, heterodonts are a very underrated group, and this one could make for a good representative.

And here's hoping they eventually add some pycnofibres to dimorphodon. Now that they have the ability to have good-looking fluff, there's little reason for her to remain bald.

I feel like a few of these could be done using the variant system. Instead of adding Ornithomimus and the species our Troodon is most likely modeled after just give a feathered variant to Struthiomimus and Troodon.

A few of the Pterosaurs could also use a variant. Hopefully that might leave room to squeeze in an extra full species!

(Also obviously we need Dimorphodon to get a 2015 skin with pycnofibers.)
