A personal Thank You post

I don't normally write about my personal life in this gaming forum, but I just finished the most accomplished and meaningful part of my life yet, as I just finished my job as a commander in the army, which I've had for the last year.

Through this year, I've had very little time for myself and my hobbies, and this game and forum provided a much needed break when things got rough and challenging.

I'm not leaving or anything, I'm still going to be here and contribute, but as I'm closing this chapter in my life, I'd like to thank:

  • the PZ team for the amazing game, and ongoing support
  • the forum and its users, for being a great online community full of friendly people with great discussion
  • The content creators, which give great content to watch and enjoy

The gaming community in general is known for its toxicity and hostility, but the community of this game is positive, engaging, welcoming and very invested.

I'd like to thank you all for ongoing activity, and for being a bright spot in my free time for the last two years.

I said this on a tweet to Linda not long ago - that the community that's built up around Planet Zoo is simply amazing.

They're so incredibly nice, understanding and helpful. They're always ready to give a helping hand if you need to know how to do something in the game. The kind of people that would give you the shirt off your back.

So thanks to all of you for being that type of person. ❤️

And I expierienced a good bunch of us on here are kind and empathic even beyond game advise and have an open ear for you when you need one. Those who are very active on here care for each other as people and not only as fellow players and that might be the greatest gift you can get from a simple "gaming community".
