A Plea to all Combat Pilots (YEMBO) OPEN play only

After losing my T9 with 11 million worth of cargo to what can only be described as an ingame 'Terrorist group' I have recently sold the bulk of my assets and heavily kitted a Anaconda as a trade/heavy weapons platform.

As you can imagine, things have swung from victim to watching Asp,Vipers, and Clippers run for there lives ;) I have been immensely enjoying all the PVP at Yembo right now, the system is full of cmdr's and plenty of good trade routes exist to haul metals into Yembo. Even when being under threat in my T9 the challenge of getting docked safely was a rush.

Now here's my plea - Last night myself and a few others provided escorts to Heavy freighters from the main Star to Nadddoddur Station (who chose that name??) We where very successful in interdicting and destroying many of these aggressors. These Heavy freighters are hauling goods for the construction of the explorer base in HIP 101110, this base will benefit everyone in game, especially peaceful explorers.

The Aggressors make no demands and will pick on the weakest pray. Any Cmdr's with Combat experience from a Viper up to a Anaconda are welcome to provide escort and help bring order to Yembo.

When in system - simply scan to locate the many wanted targets. Communication with freighters is advised to gain info on major known criminals.

Good Luck!

If it's CMDR Athera and Anarchy then its all part of the fun and RP, their demands and grievances are well posted here, and so is this. And this is exactly the sort of player interaction ED is looking for out of Open Play. Repped and hope it goes well.

This is just the sort of emergent play FD has been trying to promote. I'll kit out a Viper and join in.... as soon I get back back in space. Good hunting Commander.

Get FD to fix upgrading ships so everyone can use a Viper, I still have the blank spot in center screen making it hard to use fixed weapons!

I want a fight just not in my damn T6

Hey just a quick question. Did you lose your T9 to pirate or what? You see, I have been forced to open up and destroy many traders in ED for the simple reason, these so called traders can't do math. In all cases they chose to escape and or attack me. Imagine my disappointment, all I want is 15 cargo. The bottom line is they'd rather pay the astronomical repair and insurance fees and by the extremely expensive cargo once again. How is this good business sense, it is simply foolish to run from pirates. In that situation I'm left with no choice and ,must attempt to destroy the tight fisted trader and many times I have. Why oh why do they not pay? I can only assume that's its pride preventing them, so sad. So, from a purely economic stance they should pay, I teach them lesson when I destroy them.

By by the way, Yembo has been great fun certainly for me but I'm sure everyone has had an exhilarating experience at some point down there and long may it continue. So traders pay up and save yourself multimillions in creds and protection money(if you've even managed to organise that) pirates gotta eat too you know.

Oi Adders have feelings too !

Hehe, bring a sidewinder along ;) as long as these attack ships are getting pulled out of SC they wont be able to target the freighters. Just be sure to put 4 pips to engines and run in that adder after you have interdicted that madman in a Python! :)

You can also drop into low energy wakes and assist other freighters being attacked, unfortunately it's normally too late at this point.

Maybe they would rather lose the money that they had to earn, than give it away to someone else just because they want it for free ;)

No, this is not about piracy, I would gladly drop 15T out of 500T back when I had my T9 (as long as the pirate is clear in demands and not being an idiot) These aggressors do not want cargo, just destruction. It is in a Pirates interest to help fight these guy's. They are destroying freighters with hundreds of tons worth of valuable metals onboard.

We need an ingame piracy flag, like what was mentioned in the DDF proposals. Violating the flag (killing the victim) should have a serious consequence for the pirate. At least a victim would then have as close as possible guarantee that the pirate was professional in nature and merely wanted to negotiate/rob.
I'd love to help out but I'm fighting against the Federation in Banki with very long odds of success. ;)

I see the same stuff, no demands, just death. I would gladly join ANY faction if they had some players online most of the time and assisted with such unfriendly players!

Well Yembo seems to be incredibly busy, especially this weekend. I'm off on a business trip so no combat for the next 24 hours, still I saw plenty of cmdr's helping last night, hopefully this will continue until the construction goals are reached.

Love this thread. Its kind of what i was hoping the game would become. And folks still whine about there being no content...

They jumped me too- 2 of them from Anarchy,...............had the first guy dead to rights -4 beam lasers and gimbaled cannons on my asp are no joke!
then the other guy jumped me from behind with seeker missels.............Dirty Pool!!
you got to see these things comming- my shield is high enough that i could escape just fine, but i had no hope of fighting 2 or more..............
all part of the fun Bro!
