Well….. after playing this absolutely fantastic game for a few months now it is with great/real sadness that I’m gonna put in on the shelf until the following issues (in my truly considered opinion) have been rectified;
1. Winging up problem/bug has been fixed. (I’ve lost count of the amount of times when I have spent at least the first hr trying to address this one;( and please don’t mention NAT setting.(not to mention in game Comms constantly dropping out)
2. Enter the game from any of my ships locations (or at least have something like a “3 ships fav” list option rather than say,…..an player empty CQC option)
3. Map-able elite controller paddles (need I write more?)
I truly believe that as an Xbox ED Player this game is currently only worth turning on if you are not trying to use the Multiplayer/Wing.
Don’t get me wrong CMDR’s what FD has provided is stunning to say the least, but I truly believe that for a front room console game we should be able to get into the fun of winging up fast and almost every time we try to.
Now, for all you RPG people who shout “we shouldn’t be able to jump around the place instantly” , it is just a game & we should be having fun whilst playing from the “Get Go” as they say nowadays.
So… it’s with great reluctance that I will drop out of Supercruise now,…. whilst keeping a hopeful eye on the Xbox ED Forums for any sign of the above first two points being addressed. The 3rd was an extra/nice to have
Just remains for me to say what a great bunch of people we have populating this forum and if anyone from FD is reading this then……..please take pity on us lowly Xbox users.
You’ve started a great thing with ED when you ported it to our Xbox and I just want it to succeed/grow. With a completely differnt type of player base than the PC version, with different requirements and expectations from our games I can't believe you would place an advert in the cinema's ( STARWARS) calling it a multiplayer game.....
PS, I now, I know, I Know, I could always go exploring by my lone-self….. and maybe I will one day soon seeing as the pull of the game is still very strong in me.
PPS docks Vulture (without the docking computer
and hits starter button on any of the tanks in my garage for almost certain instance buddy list mutilplayer/plattoning fun. (Which I would love to do in ED)
PPPS I AM FINDING IT REALY HARD TO HIT THE SUBMIT BUTTON.
fly safe, smoke me a kipper, beam me up, over & out.
