how would you feel if mining became the most profitable?
(i think it should, or at least equal, unless you spend hours looking for that super secret rock that has high palladium content).
mining should be time consuming, just like real gold rush miners. but when you hit that "gold mine" you haz the money!!!
I feel this could be accomplished by adding slooooow, but many cargo drones that retrieve rocks in space for you. they should require cargo space each and take up power to run., so you can sacrifice cargo space for more drones to retrieve rocks faster. so a type 9 would be hugely profitable
but for a type 6, it will be ok, because only having 1 or two will push your limit in cargo and power.
stats that i researched on the vast knowledge of "i made it up"
.
uniformed stats and concepts:
Name : Retrieving Automated Bi-orbital..... I.....intermediate? Toooooby..... RABIT !!
-requires open cargo bay and a still owner ship.
-can be scooped by another ship if caught in cargo bay and sufficient cargo space..... sneaky greedy pirates >
-has a magnetic pull to suck up the rock at a specified distance (to help out with the ai programming)
-requires open cargo bay and a still mothership.
(for a type 9)
RABIT I ($10,000)
10 cargo space
0 shields
.5% power
3 rock cargo space
20m/s-30m/s
magnetic pull 20 meters
RABIT IIA ($120,000)
25 cargo space
0 shields
5-10 rocks
2% power
15-20m/s
magnetic pull 30 meters
RABIT IIB ($100,000)
20 cargo space
0 shields
3-5 rocks
3% power
30-50 m/s
magnetic pull 15 meters
RABIT III (1,500,000)
30 cargo space
o shields
10-20 rocks
5% power
15-20 m/s
magnetic pull 50 meters
this is just me making up numbers, but i feel like if the idea isn't already thought of, it might give the DEVs some ideas.
thoughts pls?
