A PvP Power Distributor question.

So I'm sure the answers might vary, but I'm guessing the Power Distributor in a PvP ship (Corvette in this case) would want one of the Power Distributor engineer upgrades that go to grade 5? The only two in that category (aside from lolshielded) are High Charge Capacity, and Charge Enhanced.

Which is more ideal for a PvP themed ship build and why?

Charge Enhanced for the Corvette as it has the luxury of recharge speed instead of total capacity, chances are you won't ever use the maximum cap unless your target is flying in a straight line. However I'm sure some personal builds may differ, the PVP pilots I fly with tell me charge enhanced would be the way to go because the added recharge of system pips which helps your shield recover rather quickly as well. I think it would be the better choice of the two as the corvette is really made for doing high alpha, not as much as high sustained strikes as you would see with medium craft.

Just my two cents.

One issue though, you won't be able to get a Grade 5 PD done due to the Very Rare Mission Reward bug existing unfortunately. so G4 would be your only option.

Which material is bugging out? I just finished farming up 67 cadmium and 67 pharma isolators to go with my 67 cracked industrial firmware on a trip to palin (which ill probably do tommorrow) so I can get a better roll on my thrusters (hopefully exceed the limit I'm already at and get a better heat management).

I use the G5 charge enhanced distrib on my FDL.

I have a corvette and generally go with weapon focused for that - it allows me to fight with 4-1-1 pips and keep bullets in the air. Charge enhanced would be a solid choice as well though. Unfortunately, as others have said, EFCs seem to have bugged out again.

This is just turning into an echo chamber, but G5 charge enhanced is the conventional wisdom.

Did EFCs get broken in 2.3? If so, I hope I've got enough stored up...

Always go with charge enhanced, for all ships. It allows for much greater flexibility in combat, the other mod options mainly take that away.

Always, always go charge enhanced. Hi cap is terrible. Capacity is not important, but charge rate is. The faster you can charge your engine and weapons the easier power management will be.

Sounds good then I'll go for that, but I just burned all my Cracked Industrial Firmware at Palin. Does the crack train method with a satellite still work or was that "fixed"? And if it was fixed, is there a good place now for it? I have like 40 Exquisite Focus Crystals lying around.

If you refer to relog/ repeat drops to civilian installations, then yes, that is still working. I used it yesterday for SLF.

I didn't know that was a thing? I'm talking about having a friend hold an instance for you once you find a crashed Satellite and repeatedly relogging into that game mode back and forth to keep resetting the Satellite scan to farm the cracked firmware easy. What repeat civilian installations?

Oh. I assumed this was common knowledge. Scanning a satellite at a civilian installation doesn't have a cool down; so you can relog and rescan it as often as desired. This will provide a random data drop.

There are a number of systems with civilian installations. They do not show up on the system map, but are essentially fixed named USS.

You may find this more convenient than jumping through fairly illogical hoops. o7
