A question about turrets

I got some pulse turrets for an eagle, but they only seem to work in fire front mode. Is the eagle too small or am I missing something? I have tried all settings on the module system menu.

Does the fire at will only work if they attack you?

i dont think turrets come in those flavours.

Right panel -> Functions Tab. Search for turrets and enjoy your options.

Weapons are either fixed, gimballed, or turrets.

Fire at will only works in self defence IIRC.

thanks, thought so. so can you hit the enemy with fire forward and then let the turrets do the hard work for you once they hit back?

Do turrets attack your target when in 'Target mode' if the target is a friendly?

If set on fire at will, they will shoot every direction as soon as you come under fire or start shooting

Well in an arc.

In my experience I could only get the turrets to work effectively in fire at will mode, the other modes the turrets seem to take a nap.

seems fine at fire at front, for me.

fire at will targets all hostiles i believe, which could agro someone who isn't actually going to attack you.
fire at target is the safer option.
but tbh i used turrets for a couple of fights then gave up on them, they don't make good main weapons imo.
