In FFE, has anyone travelled to unexplored systems in the search of mining goodies? If so how did you manage it without your ship breaking down due to lack of service?

The only time I managed to do this was using the Thargoid ship. I'm sure there are other ways of doing it, it just takes months to get there!

Off the top of my head... nope!

I'm currently going back through the FFE universe - thanks to Bill Gates I lost my HDD so I've had to start from scratch. Currently at Oct. 3251, with c21,384,771.1 and a Skeet - doing the nice and safe Barnards --> Sol route, and whatever else is going my way. As soon as I get my Thargoid ship back I'll take a trip to the outer and let you know.
