Exactly. This isn't like the lion or the Formosan black bear where you kinda need a full scale redoWow, it's amazing the difference a slight adjustment will make!
Thanks for your great work. Caracal become much better after little tweakI'm extremely happy that this cat is in the game. However, I feel the model could do with some tweaks
As you can see here, in this image provided by the lovely @Gabboi, you don't need to trash and redo it. Simply make the head a little smaller and lengthen the tail a bit

Thanks for you and other modders remaster mod. lt make many planet zoo animals much better.I think it just needs those adjustments to differentiate him from lynx, right now it has the same proportions and it feels off, I've seen Caracals too, and also searched for pictures of different individuals to judge better, yeah they can vary in a lot of aspects, but their head is never that big nor their tail is that short. It's just small things like this keeping it from being the best cat they've done
My thoughts exacty. Once again it comes down to a bad photo. They need to hire a good ingame photographer lolI think it might just be moving the tail in the direction away from is, making it appear smaller than it is since the body is closer to the camera
I agree about the critiquing of every single model getting tyresome. I understand the complains about the hyena, and i even think the caracal's face could use some rework to make it less cute, but over all the animals in this pack are of the highest quality. I've seen people already complaining about the emu and the maned wolf, both of them looking actually great.I think the ‘feedback’ and ‘complaints’ at this point are becoming a little bit too much. It’s alright to have an opinion on an animal or a model. But starting a whole new thread to suggest the single most minor changes to a model that really doesn’t look bad at all is a bit much. This is a fantastic model and I think everyone is just nit picking now.
Frontier puts a lot of hard work into these animals - are they perfect all the time? No! But let’s be grateful we are getting new content instead of critiquing EVERY SINGLE MODEL we get.
I disagree with you. We love this game and pay for the dlc. We hope everything is right and the game become better. If we find out some problems about animal models, we should tell Frontier. Frontier should aware those issues. Planet zoo is a three years old game. They already made a lot of cat models, but most of them should be tweaked. Why our players find out those problems about animal models, but these models can be accepted by Frontier? I don't really understand. My thoughts exacty. Once again it comes down to a bad photo. They need to hire a good ingame photographer lol

People need to relax a bit and also understand that Frontier has a certain style (is not extremely cartoony, but is not hardcore realistic either, but something in between more leaning on the latter). And if they are still not satisfied with the final result there will always be the remaster mods.
I think that once again, it comes down to the style thing. They are not really problems but more related to the style of the design.I disagree with you. We love this game and pay for the dlc. Malayan tapir remaster has been requested by most players for nearly two years but no response. This is unacceptable.I think that once again, it comes down to the style thing. They are not really problems but more related to the style of the design.
There are some exceptions to this. The malayan tapir situation is unacceptable because like you said we are paying for this content and that is just a cheap reskin. The same thing happened with the binturong and now with the hyena (not reskins, but they just didn't really look like the animals that are supposed to be)
I think is great that we have this platform to express our concerns to Frontier directly and that they listen to their players, but not every model needs to be remade. The hyena yes, because it just doesn't look like a striped hyena (same thing happened with the binturong) but with the wallaby and the caracal is just the style they are going with for their animals.
One thing i would love though is an official remaster of some of the OG base game animals that now look really dated and low quality when compared with the DLC ones.
If something is wrong, it's wrong, there is nothing bad about pointing that out.I think the ‘feedback’ and ‘complaints’ at this point are becoming a little bit too much. This i agree. And while I am happy that we are seeing continued support, no I will never be "grateful" for something I am paying for lol. It is a business transaction.
I'm particularly interested on the Caracal case because unlike any of the other animals in this pack, or the ones that have come before, the design is great but what fails is the body proportions, which is something a user made remaster wont be able fix correctly. Style has never affected the actual proportions of the animals like having a big head or short legs just for the sake of art, so I think this is not a problem with the animal being simply stylized. And again, this one in particular having proportions off and too similar to lynx is a sign to me that they probably used their lynx as a base to make the Caracal, which is totally fair, but in doing so they didn't adjust the rig and model to the body proportions of a caracal, so I feel they might have skipped an important step while making it.My thoughts exacty. Once again it comes down to a bad photo. They need to hire a good ingame photographer lol

I think the problem of Caracal model is more serious than hyena model, so I hope you and other modders can make a tweak to Caracal model in case frontier don't update it.I'm particularly interested on the Caracal case because unlike any of the other animals in this pack, or the ones that have come before, the design is great but what fails is the body proportions, which is something a user made remaster wont be able fix correctly.
