very much depends on the blend of tea.

a cup of yunnan tea has some kind of age-old satisfaction, while a cup of gyokuro has a subtile satisfaction with it, a mokalbarie has that kind of sudden rush - satisfaction, while a gen mai cha feels like basic nutrition.

Ooh, fancy stuff! (no disrespect intended)

I just drink builders tea. Drops in your stomach lovely like.

There is something about the thirst quenching abilities beyond just the water volume. I like an English milk tea during the day, where at home it is usually PG + the decaf version for night drinking if I actually want to get to sleep.

However, after a spicy meal I prefer a tea without milk. I recently moved to redbush as the caffeine free choice, but before that it was either green or oolong.

It depends on the tea, and the circumstances. However, I do agree that a decent cuppa allows the imbiber a few minutes to breathe easily, and let the moment flow over them.

Everybody so 'gourmet' about their tea drinking. I'll tell you what I do. I make a cup of strong black tea before going to work...and leave it. When I come back I have a nice cold tea :D

Yuuck! :D I bet you did not even place some lemon or anything else in it to stop spoil it.

But black? Yeah... If there is something i must give the russians is how they drink the tea? If the spoon remains standing in the middle, than it's strong enough, and probably capable to resurrect the death too...
Cup?

KEG!

Rooibos tea? that's good. But not tea tea. Strictly speaking about that i'd prefer with lemon + sugar. sometimes without additive. The english just as i stated above is way too weak to my taste. Black or green? Mood dependent. In back Earl Grey Or in green jazmine, or gunpowder

Noooo. Tea should be scalding hot as you drink it. (Celon for me. Drinking one right now:))

And this is where are you at wrong. The ideal temperature of tea water is about 70-80 C Above it, the heat destroys its taste and worth. Tea most must be hot, but cannot be too hot!

True. :) The point is you can't use boiling hot water, avoid at least that, and its good. For my part i resolve this by simply adding some cold water in my glass before i pour the hot water in it.

Oh, and one question. What kind of tea you guys prefer? Leaves, or filter?

English Breakfast Blend and or Yorkshire Tea for preference.

Milk in last...

Hmm a poll might be in order there...

Agree with the bit of cold water, and not boiling water.
