A really basic X52 question

So i finally upgraded from a 360 controller to an X52. It's going to take some getting used to but i have two really basic questions:
  1. How do i look at the different UI panels? I've got headlook but that's a bit random
  2. When i'm in some UI panels i'm unable to select a menu item, i can scroll across the tabs etc, which buttons in the default are supposed to do this?

I have searched the forum and all i find are deep and detailed discussions about how to change hat switches, configure buttons and the software itself.

Thank you for your patience

i set mine to use the pinky switch and the left and right on the bottom hat switch for the menus themselves and the top hat to swap tabs within menus then the bottom hat for cursor up down left right with the B button for select menu item

it took about ten mins to get it down but now things like requesting docking etcetera are so second nature I don't even have to think about it :D

anyhoo hope that is helpful for you :D

Happy flying Commander!

This is exactly how I have mine set up too. Works a treat!

yeah and it feels very natural with that set up for me too :D

also while i think about it i pinched my wifes lip balm and use it to lube the stick (ooooer)

just put some on your finger and run it around the base of the stick as you move it round a full circle to make it smoother.

is the pinky trigger a toggle? So i have to hold it down and then "hat" to the tab? I must be making a right meal of this

i've just set another button to toggle between the screens. It'd be nice to be able to sideways switch to the UI panels

I had to set mine up myself, but my ui select is mapped to the throttle mouse button (that tiny one), and I use the main hat on the throttle to select, while holding the mouse btn.

I know the ui select works when I hold it, my cockpit view "pulls back" a bit. then I can select left, right up, down with my hat sw (normally used to change power settings)
