Hello there fellow CMDR's! Holy Hitman here, and today I have a story to tell you.
After a few months hiatus barley playing Elite, waiting for new content and busy with other games. I came back to play regularly a few days ago.
Fast forward to today...
Getting bored with grinding rep in border systems, I decided to give the good ol' PvP thrill a whirl. After spending a couple of hours finding the right ship and build I wanted to play with, I landed on a stealth DBS build.
After about 2 hours of system jumping and looking for others, I decided to wait in the current CG system Naunin. 30 mind numbing minutes go by of nothing but npcs and space dust *YAWN*.
Finally I see a new contact, check my hud and see it's a player flying the iClipper. Well this will have to do, I say to myself, and give chase. I follow him for ~1000ls before he drops out of OC into a planet and I try to follow. Sadly when I drop in he is nowhere in site. I glide down, and circle for a bit trying to pick up any radar contacts. No such luck today.
Jumping back into SC I figure someone must come near the station eventually so I start heading back that way.
Approx. 300ls away from the station I see a fellow CMDR in a vulture making his way around the station, trying to bleed speed from what appeared to be an overshot. Scrambling to get to the station before he docks, I manage to interdict him! Alas I have finally found a target after all my waiting.
We drop out of SC, I turn up sensor range, engage stealth mode, and deploy my weapons.
I fire fire a couple bursts of c2MC at him, but it doesn't make much of a dent. So I try out my newly purchased c1Rails... PEW, PEW, PEW 3 shots and his shields are gone. D*** I think to myself, these are some powerful little guns. I unload my MC's and and try to hit him with my rails as he turns and runs for it. Unable to masslock him, I jump back into SC and manage to interdict him again before he can make it to safety. Sadly, when I drop out, I am alone.
I take status of my ships hull and mods. ~5% damage across the board of my mods, and left at 62% hull. Oops, guess I forgot to deploy the heatsink early. Oddly, I check my local bounty, and it is 0 :O
I head to the station, R&R&R, and check my contacts. Huh, just a 600c fine for the interdiction.
I Undock head back into SC and low and behold! It's the vulture. Already 20ls away from the station, he manages to h-wake away before I can even get close.
Satisfied with my performace in my new ship, I lower my speed and start scanning the system again.
A few seconds later I get an incoming contact request from the vulture that just left.
We talk for a minute or so, and afterwards he removes my ships frequency from his coms.
The last messaged I recieved from this CMDR was..
A self **** a day, keeps the feds away.
Fly safe
-Holy Hitman
(Sorry if my paragraph is aids, didn't want a wall of text.)
EDIT
Forgot to include the kicker, the reason I wasn't wanted was.. because of the stealth build, the vulture pilot was unable to target me, and scan me for a bounty. My first shot missed and he hit me first, so he was the one that ended up wanted
