A shipbuilding tool either in the game or a phone app.

I always love prebuilding ships on one of the 3 major shipbuilders for ED (Roguey, EDSY, or Coriolis). The issue I've found as of late is most of them are no longer being kept up to date. I know that keeping these running is a lot of hard work and I don't blame the people who work on these programs. I was wondering if Frontier has plans on just releasing their own either a stand along webapp or a feature in game?

Frontier have intentionally made available the APIs (application Program Interfaces) to enable third parties to create applications for the game. This means that the FDev team spend time and money concentrating on the main game elements and they allow the community to develop tools.... the good tools get used and thrive, the poor ones tend to wither.

Therefore I think it is highly unlikely that Frontier would bring any of that kind of activity in house.

It is also not a win for us players. If Frontier spend time recoding something like coriolis within the main game or a side app... then we have to ask what are they going to shelve in order to have the time and money to do it.
