Having stored a whole bunch of Frame Shift Drives at Farseer for a later Transfer to Colonia, it was time to invest a bunch of Materials again.

Been busy scooping up and scanning everything that wasn't nailed down after all...

The only suitable Ship I still had parked in the Bubble was my trusty old Passenger Anaconda - the TPS Luxor.

Having made "less than stellar" experiences in Deciat in the past, some preparation was needed. Anacondas were known to be juicy Targets for Grade5-Engineered Weapons of all colors after all.
So having converted the Passenger Ship basically into an SCB, HRP and MRP Carrier, it was ready for the trip.

Approaching Deciat, I find out plotting an egress Course beyond it to have a handy Egress System isn't possible - the Plotter basically avoids Deciat like the plague :p
Oh well, so I scroll my NAV List to the very bottom for a quick manual selection of an Egress jump. That'll have to do.
The G5-modded 7A Shields "should" provide some survival time and maybe I get to use the ECM I've been dragging with me on this Ship.

Still need to prep Pips, so I go for a nearly fully defensive 3.5/0.5/2. I got plenty of cash for a Rebuy, so in any 1v1 scenario... Heck I could deploy Hardpoints and dance around.
Being a PAX Ship, the Burst/MC Combo sure isn't going to dish out alot of DPS - but even in the worst case I'd respawn very close instead of 100LY away now. So that's a better deal than it used to be.

Entering the System, there's immediately 7 or 8 contacts - 4 close to the Sun. A few of them are already Triangles. Chieftains, Vultures.
Hmm... Not quite Exploration Ships, so that'll be Interdictors looking for Targets.

Circling close around the Sun, I quickly find out I'm in a lucky position to get IDs on almost all of them. All clean. Unexpected.

The 2000Ls to Farseer Inc is a longer trip, plenty of time to toggle Contacts back & forth. Noone following me except a Python I already met at the previous jump.
The Vulture CMDR seems to provide close escort a Sidewinder CMDR, one of the Chieftains appears headed straight for Farseer itself.

Without any hassle or delays, I manage to disengage into Farseer Inc. About 15 Seconds in the blue funnel for Instancing, but I've seen worse than that.

Coming inside 7.5km, I quickly realize I got a Problem.

Tons of contacts everywhere, quite a few hugging the Base at 2-3km Altitude. A few unresolved contacts seem parked some 1-2km outside the base as well near Ground level.
Seeing that instantly brings back bad memories...

However, all seems calm though, no departing Ship comes under fire or is being followed.

Well, no time to lose. Time to get the rig onto the Ground ASAP. Past lessons learned in that location tell me Farseer Inc. isn't the best place to "hang around".

Problem #2 strikes soon thereafter.

Bugged NPC - and of all the luck it's blocking the only Player-free Large Pad :p
No dice, the Luxor sure won't cross-breed with that Lakon Pad-hugger and it doesn't leave. Bugged.

Chatting with several of the others, I find out that even some Medium/Small Pads are blocked by NPCs as well, stalling the entire Traffic.
So after 10 Minutes, I'm forced to "Docking Queue Log" *lol*

Another Instance, another try - other CMDRs, but no bugged NPCs *yay*
I can put her down and start modding as many FSDs as my Material storage affords.
Checking the local Chat every Minute or so I soon realize I'm a "Pad hugger" and plenty of other CMDRs are stuck waiting for a Large Pad. So I hurry up as good as I can.

Finished and all done - I launch the TPS Luxor ASAP to free the Pad and turn on the Landing Lights to indicate I'm departing immediately.
As expected, 250m from the Pad another happy CMDR that was hovering nearby closely passes me to land on the very Pad I just vacated.

Having spent considerable time with no Scanner image available, I climb out at 95m/sec. Better safe than sorry, especially with that degraded Situational Awareness I lost during those 10 Minutes of Engineering.
Again, it exit Mass Lock uneventful and start my trip home with a nicely boosted FSD Range :)

Morale of the Story : Don't expect to get a free Pad at Farseer when you arrive in Open :D
(be nice and try to speed things up ;) )

Otherwise, a nice experience, in a System that I remembered to be a nightmare of a mudhole not long ago :)

I was expecting some action at the end of the story. The beginning teases you but the end lets you down. :)

But I'm glad you didn't get ganked and had fun with your role-playing.
