a silly question about barrnicles

hi all quick silly question.
Is it normal for barnacles to be so tightly packed together? usually I see either a big load of them all spread out with scavengers or just a single barnacle with a few barbs. but this one was rather difficult to navigate as for how tightly packed together they were.

Probably nothing? Doesn't hurt to make sure I guess :/

That's a barnacle forest, there's a couple out there.
