A solution for needing reading glasses to see keyboard through oculus nose gap

Elegant it aint but its helped me out. I can see fine in the rift but to see my keyboard through the nose gap and type on the keyboard i had to hold my glasses to the gap with one hand and type with the other.

So i invented..."Nose gap lensey thing" TM patent pending.

Simply buy some cheap off the rack reading glasses, some milliput (two part epoxy clay) and some self adhesive velcro.

If you have a nose gap it's likely you've not adjusted your rift to fit properly.

I don't think that's true at all, it fits differently on everyone's face. Get the visual sweet spot and you've got the fit dialed in for yourself. And personally I think the nose gap is useful!

Add a webcam to the helmet, and use OR software to enable the camera window on top of the game using a button, please. I leave the patent to you as well ;)

I actually have my rift tilted up so it sits more on my forehead than my cheeks, it reduces rift face.
And my nose is quite slender, i could have been a nose model in my younger days but i dont think i could handle the fame.

Which is why I stated 'likely', however a great many people do not understand that you can tilt the headset up or down to close the nose gap as they miss the fact that the headband hinges to the headset and is not static.

I agree. I have used the Rift for almost 2 years and love the nose gap. Using it with a backlit keyboard has made thinks vey easy in ED, DCS and some other things. In Ed the lighting actual blends with my cockpit quite nicely.
