I am here this morning to make a statement regarding the recent actions taken against Salvation, and by association, Taurus Mining Ventures.
I can now confirm that at approximately 04:30AM Galactic Time, an attack was launched against two Bulk Cargo Carriers, operating under the identification code SLV-517, located adjacent to the Heart of Taurus megaship in the Pegasi Sector ON-S b4-8 system, targeting power capacitors, weapon emplacements, and cargo bay hatches.
This attack was carried out by McCoy Spaceways and Dark Circle forces, in conjunction with multiple parties who wish to remain anonymous, independent Commanders, and others sympathetic to our cause or whose aims align with our own. As the governor of an independent system, I have a duty to keep my people safe, and if that requires me to launch strikes against those seeking to begin or escalate unnecessary interstellar warfare with an alien species? Then so be it.
This is not, and has never been, my preferred course of action. However, I was given no choice but to order this engagement, after more than three years of peaceful strategies to make our voices heard have failed. We have been blindsided at every opportunity, called traitors, enemies of Humanity. This is not true, we simply wish for reason and intelligence to prevail against the endless tide of aggression, provocation and escalation of the Human-created Thargoid conflict.
It is imperative that we, as Humans, take steps to halt our aggression against and provocation of the Thargoids. Almost all of their actions, ongoing and previous, have been precipitated or provoked by our very own actions. We have invaded their space, harvested their resources and stolen their technology. We are the aggressors, as far back as Veliaze in 2849 - "... Melt the aliens down..." - Those are the words that have long been forgotten, and erased, from the history books. We tried to take one of their Ammonia worlds, widely believed to be New Africa. Look at that world now, and look where it got us.
If the Thargoids wished to destroy us as it is claimed, they would have done so already. Stations would not be damaged, they would be anihilated. Look for yourselves, the damages are in most cases localised to the fusion reactor units and cargo storage pods. The Thargoids simply wish to reclaim that which we have stolen, or that which they believe we have stolen.
There are those that claim Ram Tah is correct, that the Guardians attempted communication with the Thargoids and were rebuffed. The evidence suggests that this is false, Thargoids have not exhibited any of the typically aggressive behaviours that would be expected if this account was correct. In every instance, their aggression is a response to our provocation. Needless to say, Ram Tah also manufactures and profits from the sale of anti-Thargoid weaponry. I don't trust him as far as I could throw him and it doesn't take a scientist like me to know that this conflict of interest throws doubt on his sincerity or truthfulness.
I claim full responsibility for this attack, and all other actions taken as part of the "Dump The Medicine" campaign, as it is I who designed, initially began, and subsequently orchestrated it. I would also like to take this opportunity to state our commitment to, and demand for, independent investigations of Ram Tah's account of Guardian history, and into the nature of the beacons placed around starports, by Aegis as part of the Eagle Eye program, which are in actuality designed to provoke Thargoid attacks against them.
My message is simple. I implore the citizens of the galaxy to re-assess their strategy, re-examine the evidence and read between the lines. You cannot fully trust what is stated by GalNet or other major news organisations, find the gaps in their stories and examine them carefully. Salvation is simply continuing the work of Aegis; aggression, escalation and war. We must rise against the warmongers and seek change from within, it doesn't matter if you're Federation, Imperial, Alliance, or Independent, we are all Humans, and we are all better than this.
