A Stellar Collision

Found a White Dwarf embeded in a fast rotating Gas Giant. Got a bit too close and nearly got wiped out spectacularly! :D

Nice find, probably want to point this towards the "bug reporting" forum :D

The procedural generation had a little accident by the looks of it haha

While nowhere near as cool as the one in the OP, I found another impossible collision last night--this one with a ringed gas giant's nearest moon being inside the outermost ring.

Despite the illusion in this shot, it actually cuts straight through the middle of the moon. It's just that the distance ring effect probably wasn't intended to be clipped by anything, so there's no occlusion effect.

Plot twist: it looks REALLY messed up when you get inside the masslock radius of both the ring and the planet.

Nonetheless, at least I got some cool shots out of it.

this one is in the bubble:

edit: just went to see it and unfortunately due to a high orbital eccentricity it is not currently touching star. It is at its furthest point from star at the moment and with an orbital period of 30 days, it should be at its closest in 15 days. guess I'll be back in 2 weeks to see this for myself ;)
