A symbol of how good this game is.

I replaced X afterbirth 20 minutes after it went live, x rebirth was and still is dire, even returning for a look last month I was no more impressed then than I had been at launch. FWIW I am not bashing the X series, not only have I owned every game in the series, I was also a level 4 xdev having tested and even contributed scripts to the content additions from X2 through to X3:Albion prelude.

Although I agree with the fact that X3 is a very different game, I still believe that it has so many things that could add greatly to the ED experience.

For example, ED is a very "manual" game and lacks all kind of automation (although is set in a distant future), while X3 has so many options to remotely access data and have control over things.

Imagine you could check the prices of a station without the need to fiscally travel there?

Or being able to program your ship in a distant system to go make you a visit while flying completely in autopilot.

Those are things I'll really love to do.

Also, being able to create and control your own outposts and make your "space company" is also a possibility that I'll love to see in ED.

Today, as the game is, I think you could never aim to be nothing more than a "lonely space cawboy".

If I say this, is because I see the great potential that ED has and like it a lot more than X3, specially for the real feel that the ships has.
