A Thargoid attack could be imminent - GalNet

“The barnacles seem to indicate that the Thargoids were in Maia and Merope long before we were. For all we know, humanity has expanded into what the Thargoids see as their territory. I have no interest in scaremongering, but my belief is that a Thargoid attack could be imminent – their behaviour certainly seems to suggest they are probing us for weaknesses.”

Imminent means likely to occur at any moment; impending. So I think 2.4 will launch in about a week.

I'll be back from holiday and super pumped! Can't wait!

An Aegis initiative? Seriously? How many terms is Elite going to share with Titanfall? :D

Seriously though, I really need to get around to finding that one UA and going actually inside the Thargoid base.

Jan 3303: First Thargoid interdictions

Aug 3303: Despite having run out to Maia at least 20 times since then, spending two weeks running missions between the various bases out in the nebula and heading out on two exploration trips through that region of space on economy jumps, I still haven't suffered an interdiction.

Based on this, if the Thargoids attack in September 3303, I expect the first sign of trouble I see to occur around June 3304. :D

Don't listen to other people and take a UA with you. In January, I spent 6 hours jumping around Maia with no avail. Then I took a UA and got a hyperdiction within 20 minutes. I know many people with no UAs got it, but I just can't help but think it must at least increase the chances somewhat. :)

that soon, remember as soon as they show up there will be a choir of "players" asking for a nerf so even an escape capsule can kill them with one hit (yes I know the escape capsule doesnt have any weapons) :)

Bonus? Genuinely don't understand here.

Someone else has to blunt the first wave if it happens before September 7th, I won't be accessing my pc till then.

All my ships are as ready as can be w/ the available resources. I'm sure there will be new weapons and grind.

I would note the SCIENTIST says

“We are faced with a number of pressing questions. Why have the Thargoids entered human space? Can we communicate with them? Are they hostile? Hopefully Aegis can provide us with some answers.”

it is the JOURNALIST for an IMPERIAL GOSSIP RAG that insists they are probing for an attack

Based on what, the Journalist's expetise in sensationalising non news for increased readership?
