A while back there was a discussion about septenary and even octonary systems. I discovered this system shortly after but hadn't tagged it at the time. Still no elusive octonary, but this is surely one of the better septenary systems out there.
3 black holes, 3 neutron stars and a red giant to top it off.
I've been to the ammonia moon with landable moon that you found in Leamae CP-Z d69, and snapped a few pictures from inside a large crater.
Humpty Dumpty rolling down the hill:
Okay, here's one without the distortion:
Another that I snapped a few hours later, with more interesting lighting in the crater:
Thanks again for posting the locations!
Also, I noticed that there was no tourist beacon there. You didn't submit it as a candidate then, I take it?
I _thought_ I'd submitted it as a destination - but maybe I forgot. That said, I've submitted others and I don't think they've been selected either, maybe my suggestions just aren't cool enough
Was going through semi-recent screenshots, and thought this was interesting. So, this planet is an ELW - implicitly "terraformable" - and part of a trinary rotation
.
This is another of the planets, also terraformable
And lastly
Why is that one not terraformable? It's not too small nor too big, the temperature is the same as the ELW, it must be in the goldilocks zone given the other 2 are? Definitely a peculiarity, anyone have any thoughts?

I think it's all the ammonia in the atmosphere. The game seems to regard that as really offensive or something. I've seen ammonia planets with "ammonia and oxygen" atmospheres where the ammonia didn't even make it into the top 3 components, and the lowest component was 0.1%. Also seen a similar ELW composition, I think, with the ammonia on the non-TC candidate being something like 2%?
That's rather odd, seeing that removing the ammonia from the atmosphere shouldn't be terribly difficult during the terraforming, especially with the magic terraforming tech in the game's universe. Perhaps the game counts them as tainted by the Thargoids or something.
Oh, and I'm not sure if tourism candidates are still accepted. I'll try submitting my recent find too, and we'll see in a few months if it was good enough for a beacon or not.

See, I wondered about ammonia - but outside of potentially warming the body due to greenhouse effects, I'm not convinced the atmosphere particularly affects terraformability. Consider Cloomoi BK-R d4-563 A 3 from roboteconomists list - this is a water world with an ammonia atmosphere, but it is not only terraformable, it also received the full terraforming bonus. I think atmosphere has some sort of effect on proportion of terraforming bonus a planet gets, but I don't know that it directly affects the terraformability - at least not like mass does. Also, if it really hated ammonia, it could easily mark it as CFT but give no bonus - there are plenty of examples of that happening.
Going to keep an eye out for more binary / trinary setups like that though, I'd love to figure out one way or the other what causes it.

Hm, good example and a good point. Seeing this, and also knowing about the full terraformable bonus, I wonder if TC calculations aren't simply bugged, with some components weighing too much.
Perhaps a bug report would be in order?
I didn't intend on taking a video of this one - it's not as close as many others are and I didn't expect too much of it. I did stop to take a picture and wanted to get a silhouette of it - but by the time I lined the camera up, it'd already moved too far, I didn't realise just how fast this one was moving. The original is just ~5mins and even on that you can plainly see the planet moving. Shame it's not landable (yet).
Lastly, and by far my favourite, is Brambai SA-L d9-176 A 1
Yes, that's a Class V gas giant orbiting a white dwarf and ~0.76LS away. To give an idea of how close that is, I've already hit the WD exclusion zone in this video. It has an orbital period just a fraction over 30mins - in fact the original video is pretty much 30mins and shows almost an entire revolution. It's just a shame the cone position resets ~19secs in.
First off, I visited Oephaif SY-C b57-0, a system discovered by Klepto which has an ELW with a moon that has volcanism. I hunted for quite a while but didn't find any signs of volcanism, and ended up having to cut my search short because for reasons I prefer not to discuss I was left with only 17% hull. But the views were amazing:
After that, I found a ringed neutron. I obviously went into the ring to get some nice shots and noticed I appeared to be moving. Here's 30 secs in real time to show what I mean:

Decided it might be a good candidate for a time lapse an so recorded some ~27minutes of it and made into a ~40 sec video:

I need to revisit the Journal for that system and see what the rotational period for the neutron star is.
That second screenshot looks very good. Nicely done!
And yeah, these ELW moons with volcanism might have a minor curse. A couple of days before, I was looking for volcanism on Pearcy's, and pulled off some unscheduled lithobraking too, ending with 60% hull. After that, I found a bugged persistent POI, so with those two I decided to give up and move on. Congrats on finding a ringed neutron!
