So there I was, chatting to my friend on Steam whom I had convinced to get the Beta. I had just launched from the pad in my Hauler full of cargo.
All of a sudden a see this beast of a ship squeezing through the docking slot. I paused to admire it, finally realising it was my first encounter with an Anaconda!
So I point my ship at it so as to better appreciate the view and open up Steam chat to tell my friend about it... Unfortunately because Elite is not a real steam game, all the keyboard bindings still work as you type in the chat window. I only realised my mistake when I hit the key binding for engine boost in the middle of typing "Oooo look an Anaconda".
needless to say I boosted straight into the beautiful ship, bounced off, hit the wall and was obliterated, I only hope that I didn't take out the Anaconda.
So apologies to the pilot in Maunders Hope the other night who probably thought he was being kamikaze'd by a lunatic in a hauler.
