A wide area in the northeast of the galaxy bugged?

Hi Explorers,

I´m travelling since a few days through an area in the northeast of the galaxy where I have the following problem: When I am opening the galmap and want to target a system in a near or further distance for route planning, every time I move the cursor just a little bit in the map, I can´t select any system anymore

Here is a short video, so I hope you can comprehend it better what the problem is.

From 00:01 to 00:11 you can see that I can select systems around UCTAILTS UL-I B9-1. After I moved the cursor in the map (from 00:12 beginning) I can´t select any system. The option to select does not appear anymore.

This happened to me over a distance of the the past 12 k LY in this area with all systems, regardless if Map or Realistic view.

A second video demonstrating this effect in another system in this area comparing to SOL, so to be sure my map is not defect at all.

A solution to avoid this problem temporarily and to be able to target a system in further distance, I move to the area, where I estimate it is about the longest possible route planning distance (1k LY), pick a system, type it in the Searchbox and choose it. At this moment I can select it as a target and plan a route.

So, I just wanted to know, if this bug only happens to me or if anyone, or let´s say some more people, can reproduce this problem.

To find out if you have this problem too or if not please make this little test (from my route through this area) in the galmap with on or more of the following systems (each about 1k LY apart to the following)

PRAEI AUSCS LX-L D7-10
UCTAILTS UL-I B9-1
UCTAILTS LY-H C23-2
BYOO AOC ZI-G B24-0
BLIA AUWSY WG-Y C7
BLIA AUWSY UP-G D10-26
BYAE AUWSY KK-I C9-6
BYAE AUWSY MO-Z D13-28
HYIECHAO XD-K D8-11
PRIE CHRUIA OQ-F B11-0
SUVUA CE-N B48-0
PLUA BROAE LR-B B27-0
SMOOTOA NF-A D0

Just copy/paste one of them into the Galaxy-Search and jump to it. Then move to the north, south, east or west a few LYs and try to select a system. Remember: I can´t select any system.

Would be kind if you can test it and give me a response, whether you can or can´t select systems at the mentioned points.

I chose BYAE AUWSY KK-I C9-6 and PLUA BROAE LR-B B27-0

I can comfirm some weird behavior.

I click the star, then I zoom out a bit, move about 1000-1500ish LY towards the rim, and I can no longer select systems with either mouseover or left click.
closing and re-opening galmap seems to fix the problem, but it was repeatable.

It definitely seems to be acting funny.

Yep. I've been there. Here's my bug thread - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=140140. Please add to it. The more people report experiencing it the more likely it is to get fixed. Dommarraa raised a similar ticket - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=140842

Like you, it only happened to me when I was looking at the north-east part of the galaxy. I found the co-ords where things broke for me, detailed in the thread.

And I had a video just like yours :)

Thanks a lot to all!

I also have found 1 system in the south and 1 in north of the area where this problem "may begin and end"

In the south: PRAEI AUSCS KD-D B12-0

From here you can only move to the south without problems.

And in the north: HYPHIELAEI WL-W B56-0

From here you can move to north, south and west but in the east the problem appears.

That´s what I have found out so far.

I will link this thread in the two others and open a ticket.

I've been noting that for a while too. At first I thought it might have been a Thargoid plot, but on second glance I put it down to a bug. :)

I had that bug for a while and ticketed it. It has since resolved itself. Guess where I last went? Yep, Borg space just like you.
