aaaaargghh Why do Engineer's pinned blueprints disappear when I've used them?

Why?

I get back to my home base and they're not pinned anymore :/

Now I have to revisit the base and pin them again

Yeah this has been driving me mad for a while now. It got better after the last patch, but some engineers still never remember my pin. You on PC or Xbox (Xbox for me)?

PC

It's not game breaking, just irritating, I get so involved in the roll that I forget I have to re-pin it

I have lost most of my 'pinned' engineers blueprints. It happens often, well.... all the time!
Wish we could view all of them in game (like an in game engineers catalogue) rather than just one at a time. At least there is INARA otherwise we would all be flying blind.

Because grind

I spend more time looking at INARA than playing

Would be way more useful to receive the engineers 'catalogue' of blueprints upon the visit which they're unlocked. You know, just like real business do in order to promote themselves. Oh well......

Because Frontier would rather you use 3rd party sites for information rather than the game itself. (Hardpoints on new ships anyone?)

That is a slightly strange thing about this game. You have advanced technology and all that stuff, but you still have to refer to outside 3rd party apps to get info.

In a medieval ancient world I really don`t mind having to find stuff like that out the hard way, but in the future (unless there`s a good reason) you`d think this kind of thing would be all a part of the technology information future.

That is why I gave up completely on pinning them.
They unpin too often for no apparent reason and they are too limited anyway.
I don't go material hunting for just one single upgrade.
I combine upgrades and therefore need to see multiple blueprints to be effective at material gathering.

I now am forced to use inaara, which is out of date and also very often shows wrong or incomplete information.

FD really needs to improve the in-game info concerning the engineers.
This lack of info is one of my biggest gripes with the engineers.

Science took a giant leap backward at some point.

Scanners don't swivel.
Traffic control is a lost art.
Landing pads are as useless as the boyband with the name of the main problem with landing pads.
Apart from those landing pads that actually do damage to your hull, through your shields.
Bodies in space can only be scanned from right up close to them.
GPS was uninvented.
All computer systems got bigger and now weigh in excess of 1ton.
No-one shares data, and no data can be stored or logged, due to the extreme cost of data storage.
Everything is now touchscreen, so there's no right-click context functionality.
The touchscreen HUD was designed by someone at Gutamaya who never saw Minority Report (whose fav. colour is burning orange). No-one at any other manufacturer ever thought to design a different HUD, and Gutamaya haven't figured out they could sue for breach of IP rights (if there were any lawyers).
There are no AI. Only robots who say the same things over and over....
There are no lawyers & no courts. You get fines for not speeding thru the ports. You get shot if you get stuck in the scenery.
All the silicon in the universe was used up in the 2027 Intel/AMD arms race, so now the only processors available mean that everything from using the loo to ordering coffee is preceded by a loading screen.
However, the multiverse has been discovered and now you can swap between universes to change people who have no work for you into people who have work for you.

Seems pretty obvious something like INARA should be part of the game. It should also be a bit better. Such as not only letting you know what mats are required, but on the same screen tell you how much of each resource you have.

We shouldn't have to be detectives and scour the web to find what's needed. That to me this isn't fun, if anything it's irritating and immersion breaking.

I had the same problem a month ago, and got help for it. Pin the blue print you want after you are done with any crafting, if you pin the blueprint and then craft you lose it and have to re pin it.

Yeah, I've finally just gotten in the habit of re-pinning every time I leave an engineer. It would be nice if they just stayed pinned until replaced, especially for really common ones like grd 5 FSD.
