Aargh what did I do that for?

So I was a wandering around trading a few rares and thought I'll just have a little wander to the edge of the bubble....

day1 and day2 about 750Ly travel each and I've only gone and got infected by the discovery bug again....I'm 104 systems in and I want MORE!

So I have an ELW, a Water World, a Terraformable, 1 ammonia based life and 1 water based life GG's(see pic the larger GG in the background has ammonia based life) and another water based life planet. All within 1500LY of Diso. Only the ELW has been pre-discovered.

Oh waily, waily, waily  what have I done :S. Last trip was in an Asp and completely adhoc ending up somehow at the big black hole of Buckyball fame, this time it is a DBX and i'm somewhat prepped with heat sinks and the fixing bullets! I thought a little trip skirt the black. I've passed the corridor and want to see so much.

The Horse head and great annihilator, SgrA (again) and and and I just don't know. I am not coming back until I find a wolf-rayet! (no cheating) I'll take a hint though;).

So off I travel into the big black space, I hope to see many wonders. I know there are lots of guides and hints but anything I shouldn't miss?

A truly epic shot.. time to shake the dust off the asp again. Ummmm... how do you include your dbx in the view exactly?

Ah, the call of the wild... I think I'm beginning to hear it myself. Maybe it's time to get this Diamondback of mine repaired and set off again... It's about time I finally visited SagA* :)

@OP, you may find this very helpful: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=116450

Don't do it!

Going out of the bubble is fraught with danger and death!!!!oneoneoneleven!!

You will find yourself in unknown systems never seen by anyone: orbiting new worlds, seeing stars and planets, nebulae and rings never yet visited. The glowing uncertainty of your destination as you venture ever forth into the nameless vacuum will drain your ties to humanity. You will be alone, utterly alone, no string, no rope to pull you back - just the next bright star to pull you on.

No - do not go forth gentle explorer... rather stay in the known, travelling the path yet worn, trading the goods that others do, shooting the pirates that others hunt, mining the asteroids that anyone can.

Much safer that way.

Try XTE Systems.

And, speaking of the call of rhe wild, go mining in absolute solitude 10k ly+.

I found a few of these including a binary pair of them (Synookoi AA-A H6) quite high above the galactic plane, I think I got all the W-Rs around there but there are lots more of them and that'll show you in what sort of star populations you should expect to locate them.

Happy hunting.

Thank you Slippery Jim, kudos for the name and a +1 from another HH and SSR fan. My last trip I also found many ELW's very far north of the Galactic plane. I am heading that way again so knowing I can get my WR goal up there is a lovely bonus.

Another short night today another 71 systems travlled mostly at econ jumps.
Finders report
2 GG water based life planets and 1 Ammonia based, 3 WW's located 1 a TF candidate
todays photo highlight is.......I call it a little splash of green.

Ah, another Diamondback rider heading out. I love mine, and am busy heading out, although I'm still pretty close in (ran across a strong signal source, and had a ship appear just as I was logging out tonight...I hope I don't come back to the insurance screen!). And yeah..you can get some great shots of her...I particularly like this one:

A bit of a mixed night travelling tonight. I only have a C rated FSD about 24 LY range .... I now know how big a mistake that was. I had to do a lot of back tracking today so netted only 438Ly in outward distance. That was the bad news. I would like to thank the low bearing fruit honker, who missed 4 carbon based life WW's and a TF HMC world in the same system 1 after the other. These netted my total shineys for tonight to:

1 Ammonia Water World? - can give details on this, took a screenie but thought it somewhat unusual.
7 WW's with Carbon life forms
5 Gas Giants with water based life
3 HMC terraformables

Nice pic Tiger +1

Tonight's gratuitous selfie: I like big butts!
