Essentially the issue is that there are less than a hundred of them, and even when considering just the closest ones to the bubble tens of millions of systems they could be in, so stumbling across one by pure chance, while possible, probably isn't going to happen to you.

Some of them have clues to their location at listening posts and similar within the bubble ... others in old Galnet articles which aren't available in-game any more but can be found in the web archive ... others were close enough to the bubble (barely outside it, really) that someone stumbled across them by chance.

It would be nice if FDev redone the INRA bases so we could explore inside the buildings, maybe find some Thargoid body parts.
