Hi All,

My wife and I are hosting an 80s Party in aid of MND Scotland (Motor Neuron Disease), at the Holburn Bar in Aberdeen on the 29th May!!!!

I'll be bringing a BBC B running the original Elite, Amigas, Spectrums etc along with my Oculus Rift DK2 with Elite Dangerous, and X55 setup - so if you fancy a party, and a bit of Elite retro/Rifting, come along!

Tickets for the event are £10 which includes a finger buffet, wall to wall 80s music, 2 IPads to be won in raffles along with a host of other prizes (galaxy tabs, kindle, hotel stays, spa vouchers etc)...

Drop me a PM if you're interested, or see the Facebook event page for details: https://www.facebook.com/events/943192545692702/ or at www.kathsparty.com.

Would be great to catch up with some fellow commanders in Aberdeen, and it's all in a very good cause to raise money to help fight this terrible disease!

Cheers,
Slopey

Hi Dayrth - sure, you can donate at: https://www.justgiving.com/kath-murray2015/

My wife is climbing Kilimanjaro with her 3 sisters and Uncle who's wife (their Aunt) died of MND. They've already met their group target through other events the sisters have helped host, so all donations go direct to MND Scotland, as do any donations from people using my BPC tool.

Cheers,
S.

Donated.

I shall put a link to this thread on Alliance Call To Arms if that's OK.

P.S. I was serious about getting the beeb out. Just the excuse I needed :)

Whilst I may not be able to make it myself (working in the USA has a punishing limit on time off) I will certainly donate. Say Hi to the Holburn for me, fae a loon fae Torry.

Nice to see a fellow CMDR Aberdeen :) not enough kilts in space imo, sadly cant attend as much as I would like to but will be donating none the less

A P.S. to Slopey: Like your avatar. Jeremy Brett was the best Sherlock EVER.

and to Mathan: I'm south of the border now, but borne in Elgin. Does that count? :)

Won't make it as I live in Stirling now but I was born in Aberdeen and brought up in Inverurie. Best of luck with the night though, great cause.

Edit: Made a small donation and shared a link on Twitter, hope that's okay.

Many thanks all - the night was a great success with over £2,600 raised for MND Scotland.

As an aside, if any Aberdeen/NE Scotland commanders are up for it, we can maybe arrange a little Elite Meet somewhere at some point. I'll bring the Rift etc and if we get a few systems there we could have a bit of a play session, with beers :)

Well done - for a very good cause!

.... I wonder if Brewdog hire out the meeting room adjacent to the Dog Tap bar at their international headquarters (which is not too far from Aberdeen, after all.... ;))?
