Ability to give and receive credits from friends

I'm sure this has been brought up before, but the ability to give credits to another player or friends would be great. We travel in a pack to take out wanted ships and being able to give credits would share the spoils of our hunting.

Here is my problem with money transfer: Say you just bought Elite: Dangerous after being recommended to it by your friend who is a seasoned player, let us also say he is an accomplished trader and has significant resources. Your friend who invited you might decide to give you a little "boost", this ruins the game play experience as I believe that the early game struggle is a vital part in truly playing this game. On the flip side, money transfer would be great for hiring players as escorts if you run a huge trading ship like a type 7 or type 9, and such transactions are, in my opinion, vital especially since we won't have the ability to hire AI until later in the game. My solution to this is limited money transfer, you can pay players to fulfill contracts and they have to complete them to get the money. The developers need to add in every kind of sensible tasks they can think of and implement them into the games contract system. I understand that this is a hard concept to implement without the existence of convinetly easy loopholes but It can be done. Money transfer is needed, but unrestricted money transfer is a horrible idea for Elite: Dangerous.

Sorry if I have grammatical errors, I just wrote any thoughts that came to mind.

I agrre with 921ninja on this ,and it would also leave the game open to gold farmers selling online.
limited transfer and the ability to share missions I think is the way to go IMHO :)

This is a matter of opinion. Not everyone plays solely to make credits.

Either way it needs to be added. In fact everything should be able to be sold to other players

This has been discussed pretty thoroughly and an official decision has yet to be announced. It is however part of the original design discussion and stands a fair chance at being introduced, with some limitations such as being docked at the same station at the same time, etc.

Maybe they could implement a system in which the highest payment you can receive is either 10,000 or 10-15%, whichever is higher, of your net worth and can only be transfered once every 5 minutes for values under 50,000 CR, 10 minutes for 50,001-100,00 CR, 20 minutes for 100,001-500,000 CR, and so on. This way it limits you significantly early game. If your friend gives you a 10k kick start then the game isn't ruined, you just have a bhit more capitol for your first trade run(s). Yet later in the game you can be given more valuable contracts, for example I have about 1.8 million CR worth of assets(assets = ships, upgrades, cargo, CR, etc) I could only be given upto a 180,000 credit every 20 minutes. For example, say my freind owns a Lakon Type-9 Heavy and wants to run a dangerous but profitable trade route, he could have me, in my tricked out Viper that is worth 1.3million(upgrades/ ridiculous rebuy cost FTW), could pay me 175K to escort him safely to and from his destination. Once the contract is complete I can claim my reward. If we do this over and over again I think it qualifies as a somewhat balanced grind.

I totally agree that these are good suggestions to eliminate someone being handed all the credits, but I really don't understand why so many people are concerned about the progression of the game being ruined for other people. A newbie in an Anaconda is not going to affect your gameplay at all, seeing as if you are relatively skilled you can take him down in a sidey with very minimal upgrades.
