Ability to pause animatronics (Doors stay open, flipped cars stay flipped)
Animatronics currently play their full animation cycle when activated. I know there's been a lot of talk about doors, and how useful it would be to have an "open" state and a "closed" state, but that was difficult in the engine.
Would it be possible in the sequencer to set an animatronic to play for a certain amount of time and then pause in place? For example, a door could be set to animate for 2 seconds and then pause (open) for 20 seconds, and then continue animating until the end of its cycle. The sequencer options could be:
- Play animation from beginning
- Pause animation
- Resume animation
Now that we have all of the traps from the Adventure pack and all of the stunt people and objects from Studios, some kind of function to stop their animation midway through is becoming more and more important! It's weird to see a flipped vehicle reset within a couple seconds, or a "shot" stuntperson get back up almost right away. And the ability to hold doors open for a customizable amount of time would be so amazing!
Here's hoping!
