I maintain a spreadsheet with a system, routes, security level and trade detail summary.
Looking at the routes the intersections remind me of the London underground map
I guess the easiest way to implement would be routes running left to right, with stations that share more than one route lined up vertically, with the jump distance shown over the connection.
From here you could probably stylize into a tube style map using distance to set locations as a constraint satisfaction problem
